He'd be the perfect fit at DH for the 12' season, they'll probably sign back Martin and have Montero DH and catch once or twice a week but if they dont sign Martin back Matsui would be great as the DH vs righties, a true Yankee and the most clutch Yankee of the 21st century.

Hideki Matsui não deveria ter saído do Yankees. Um excelente jogador, que mesmo com problemas sérios no joelho conseguiu bater 28 Home Runs na temporada regular de 2009 e ainda ser destaque na World Series sendo eleito o MVP. Não consigo entender o que se passou na cabeça dos dirigentes do Yankees... parece um grande contrasenso... Parabéns e Obrigado Hideki Matsui!!!

@dboyle1707 I'm not saying that I don't support current Yankee players. Martin has been good for the Yanks. But take Dustin Pedroia's #15. There have been more than 40 other red sox player who have wore that #,including Kevin Millar who in his own right was a GREAT Red Sox but when a Sox fan today wears 15, is it for Pedroia Millar or the other 40 players? Just so happens that Yanks and Sox don't put names on their jerseys.

Nice Job! Would like to see him back in pinstripes. I was disapppointed to see Russell Martin wearing the #55. I have a #55 pinstripes jersey w/o Matsui's name on it. Now, I feel people are going to think I'm wearing it b/c of Martin and not Matsui.
