i have a dazzle video cretor plus but my computer wont take the pinnacle studios 12 disk i was wondering if there was an alternative studios i would be able to run i dont have enough gh or ram can some one let me know wat to do thanks

im having serious problems with my dvc 170 guys. i can record fine, edit fine and save it. but it wont let me upload onto youtube. 3 different error messages come up. ive tried almost everything. i tried to use WMM with the dazzle but it comes up with something saying i am already using this with something else blah blah blah!! need some help if any1 got it lol. i use XP and studio 10.

@KRAYZEtele : record your video in pinnacle studio 10 as usual. Then, take that file and re render it in a Program called: Sonly Vegas (8 or 9) I use 9 Platinum or something of that name.

Simply import your video then check my other tutorial on how to render in Sony Vegas.

Windows movie makers are for 10 year olds.

heymy screen is kinda purplisch. i always used pinnacle 11 on a other pc but now i use pinnacle studio 10 on a diffrent pc but the screen is purple and pinkish all the sliders are in the middle. please help!!!!!

@SpartanArnhem : Sounds like a software issue. Reinstall is your best bet. And or it could be your cpu.

Either way, you NEED studio 10 to start the record process. When that's all said and done, I re render it in Sony Vegas Pro 8.

Studio 10 is real easy to use--easier than Sony Vegas.

The title states that thus tutorial is for dazzle dvc 170. Which in turn means that this device can run only on XP and Vista. I don't have W-7 so I don't know if pinnacle sys has a driver update for that product. Visit the site for questions and concerns; they are most helpful.

I changed my uxtheme.dll so that I can use third party themes. The theme you see here is called Pristine.

I just added Object Dock because it's most helpful to me.

Right click the video file, copy, then go to the USB folder and paste it in there.

This happened to me but i got it working. YOU HAVE GOT TO PUT EVERY SINGLE INSTALL DISC THAT CAME WITH THE DAZZLE! Hope this helps

well, I think your just pick about your video I suppose. I know you can't see "everything" that clear when in HQ, but that's because your using a Dazzle. Dazzle's aren't for professionals, they're meant for amateurs when it comes to video game recording. Of course you won't get crystal clear vids, just stick with what you got bro. And besides, Youtube ruins video quality, so you can blame it on that too.

splitters not only ruin tv quality (when your actually looking at your tv while playing the game) but recording text n stuff are not that sharp and clear.

It's like comparing .jpg vs a high quality .png image.

m8 can u help me ive done your settings but when i upload 2 youtube it doesnt let me watch it on HD or high quality and its a bit squashed letterbox style my settings for that are 960x480 thx

My said nothing about 960 x 480. Use my recommended settings for adequate results I.e. 800 x 416 with borderless sides (check my other tutorial for this).

Also it can take up to 2 hours or less for HD to show up on YouTube after your done uploading.

Also it can take up to 1hr or less for the HQ option to pop up.

It all depends on your videos time length.

I have no option to record in MPEG 4...but I can output as it MPEG 4...will it be the same?

Probably not since you rec first as MPEG 2. Torrent studio 12 if you want MPEG 4 if you're desperate, otherwise, stick with MPEG 2 and experiment with it converting to MPEG 4.

It's only a couple sec to rec and convert, iuno y you askin me when you could have easily tested it out yourself.

Nice video guide. I just got my Canon HV30 Camcorder. I use Pinnacle 11. Now when I upload the video that I took with my HD Video it doesn't appear in HD and there is no HD Button either. I watch your video but I still need your help to set up my Pinnacle right so it would work like yours. I love it big screen that you got there in High Definition

Did you buy your Dazzle or did you just download the Pinnacle Studio 10 program?

If you did buy the program, all you had to do was install the CD and follow the instructions came withing your box.

If you just downloaded the trial, you'll need to purchase the entire thing with a capture device.

When i open up the program, it advices me that i can upgrade it. After that, it says;

"To begin, please select from one of the premium content catogories below:"

but there are nothing below...

Install all the CDs. The premium content isn't shown bc you probably didn't install the premium software. Oh btw, you should have gotten the silver dazzle, the DVC 170 platinum and not the really old red one.

if you recorded in mpeg 4 like I did, and wanted to render it to mpeg 2, you still can in the make movie tab.

The thing is, if you started with a lower quality format, chances are even if you render in a higher quality format it's still going to turn out as a lower quality format.

So your best bet is to record in the same format you wish to upload, rather than switch it up.

Essentially, start with mpg 2, end with mpg 2.

Just use mpeg2 with custom settings set to 8600kbps in the custom tab where you setup your options (not in the make movie tab I mine you).

If you want to record your voice in game, then check my other tutorial. If you want to record other peoples voices, make sure you set your voice output on xbox to be able to play both through speakers and headset.

To do this, hit the guide button>>scroll right to preferences>>click voice>>then choose play through both speakers and headset.
