  • Yes I like the hillbilly flour. Pappy was also a good governor.

  • @PhillipCreeper I sure do not remember a lot about his time in office but most that do say, as you do, he was a good governor.

  • Great Music bring's back old memory's Thank's Oldtexas

  • @latokatn506 You're welcome, as always.

  • This is great. Thanks for sharing. Way to go Pappy!

  • @PhillipCreeper Glad you like it. Ya like the hillbilly flour?

  • Pappy O'Daniel was my Daddy's Cousin...I love listening to this.

  • @jlyno101 Glad you like it. I have several 15 minute radio shows with his son as MC and the Hillbilly Boys playing music posted. The show was sponsored by Hillbilly flour.

  • I haven't heard of this singer before, Marcus. I've learned about more country music performers from you over the past few months than I did my entire life! What an education this channel is. Beats school any day :)

  • @pastore0506 LOL!!! especially since there is no grading. I'll give an A to you anyway, because of your support. Thanks.

  • @pastore0506 the singer is Leon Huff...O'Daniel did not sing nor play an instrument on these recordings...he just sponsored the band

  • @wig406 Leon sang on the 15 minute radio show every day. There was at least 2 other singers that sang then but Leon was the main one.

  • @oldtexasmusic Curly Perrin occasionally did the vocals on the records, as did June Whalen....and Kitty Williamson (Texas Rose) recorded a few sides with them, some unreleased...I just posted Peach Pickin' Time In Georgia...check it out...

  • @wig406 I did. I do have the song in my collection. Give some of the radio shows I have posted a listen if you have time. They are approximately 15 minutes long. I have about 8 of them posted with the intention of posting others later.

  • @wig406

    Thanks for the information!

  • Hi,another good one from W Lee O'Daniel's,

Thanks for sharing these songs which are part of the history of the Country music today which we all love.

  • @BABSINUK I enjoy sharing more than many enjoy listening. LOL!!!

  • I remember when my Mother used to listen to soap operas. Well this is not a soap opera, you have me hooked on it***** LOL

  • @jtls8 LOL!! Look at it this way---you could be hooked on something that's bad for you. Thanks, my friend.
