  • It's funny that before I've seen this video, I did exactly as defensive bet (didnt know I was Johnny Chan) Simply I picked up some tells from my rival that he might not hit his top pair. I did not checkraise him becoz he would have re-raise me on the flop to see if I had the Queen. . So I usually check-call the flop and bet out the turn to have the pot controlled. I sometimes even check raise river the represent my set of 4 by semi-bluff and the rival must laydown even with weak top pair ..

  • i never go for that stuff my opponant never bluffs he might be bluffing today

  • head still looks wierd

  • this play is called floating and s very standard

  • @arnaud769 no it isnt floating. floating is calling and seeing what your opponent does on the next street, not leading out yourself.

  • R088O,

I was thinking the same thing but in this example it really doesn't change Daniel's point he is making. If you lead out and bet the Turn after he hit his set of 7's that guy might either smooth call or re raise you. Either way you'll get the information you need to lay the hand down.

If you check raise the flop and the guy with Pocket 7s doesnt believe you and calls. Then you'll still be sitting there not knowing where you are at.

  • Pretend i'm Johnny Chan? Been there m8

  • thats really bad keying work dude

  • Great tutorial video, altho i think it could be hard to get someone off 77 with that turn card :P
