  • Not what you would expect from a town official

  • Note to self, make sure to vote at the next election and anyone in power now should be voted out.

Your all suppose to doing what is in the best interest of the town and the people who live here. Instead your all scared to death people will find out something they shouldn't.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

I wonder how many "residents" would chip in a few bucks to hire an attorney and review say the last 4 years worth of "official decisions"?

    Signed,

    A taxpayer who's pissed.

  • Who cares? its Cape Vincent? The town has a total population of 50 people. We should be monitoring the politics of Watertown. Actually that doesn't matter either. Ft. Drum is what matters in the area.

  • can't wait to see more..wish they were longer though so we can get a better idea of whats going on..if nothing is going on why is the planning board getting so upset? i would say bring on the camera's, nothing to hide here...

  • What a joke of a planning board. They all need a night in the pillary and a good spanking.

  • what the hell is going on in cape vincent?? i cant believe how angry they get of you filming a public board meeting

  • something smells CROOKED

  • Yeah and look at the stupid grin on planning board member Karen Bourcy's face. I can't figure out if shes grinning becuase she's thinking about all the money her brothers will get from their wind contracts the have, or she just thinks open meetings laws are a crack up.

  • I'm so glad I moved away from the North Country, these types of individuals have no class and break these types of laws and rules all of the time. If I lived there today, I would attend every meeting and record every word. These people are idiots.

  • Im going to EVERY Cape Vincent town meeting with 10 camera's.

    Seen you soon !

  • What a bunch of babies lmao. I'd like to go to these meetings for a free show! Better than watching TV!

  • all i can say is hey that is cape vincent for you. i mean they cannot even dress nicely for a meeting! the good old boy network.

  • I agree nolandavid4 the whole meeting should be taped and be available to the people being represented. The video shows the members of the counsel warning the photographer that cameras are not allowed at the public meeting, and that they have been warned previously. WHY? Granted no one except those present know exactly what was said and how it was delivered by viewing the video. Public figures have cameras in their face, this is part of being a public servent.

  • Meeting minutes do not reflect the mood seen in the a video and peoples reactions and how they respond to questions raised by the people they represent. I don't live in your town but what I've seen in the video your elected officials are dodging questions and only want meeting minutes as the only record of what went on during the public forum. Other communities record counsel meetings and post them on the web. Again I say; what are they scared of if everything is on the up and up?

  • Hey Rich. Trying your patience? That is too funny. You tried that same crap in High School!

  • Was that Richard Edsall? LOL. It seems to me that they may be trying to hide something. Nothing new there. All so called politicians always hide things especially the part timers. Geroge Mingle was the best behaved out of the bunch. Meeting are open to the public folks get used to tape recorders and the such. They are not illegal. Have a nice day.

  • if i lived in that town i would draw up a petition and get rid of these moron whats wrong with u people your town not that big

  • if i lived in that town i would draw up a petition and get rid of these moron whats wrong with u people your town not that big

  • Why isn't every public meeting recorded ?

We babysit police officers with video cameras, why not public officials ?

  • What's the big deal with the camera at a public meeting? Are the elected officials in CV trying to pull a fast one? If not the camera can only prove what was said and the mannor which it was spoken. I think it could be a tool that may be used to later prove what was exactly said. what are they scared of.

  • That's what meeting minutes are - a record of exactly what was said in the meeting.

  • you know who I love? George Mingle. He was the best part of this video.

  • Wow.
