  • Well, since this project which was just a try on Unity I worked mainly on iPhone/iPad applications. But basically just the controls are different, once you understand them it not harder!

  • im only 13 but im into this stuff and way to ever print one of your projects to a console as the wii,ps3 and the xbox 360 you must go to unity and buy the pro edition for $1500 and for extras that your going to prob. get later are about $500 a program plus the source coding an the wiiware stuff so the total would be around $4000 dollars

  • @Mega101productions no, nintendo charges 10,000$ to even look at your game. if they dont like it, your out 10,000$. if they ok it, then you can start production. You are looking at atleast 500,000$ at the minimum and i mean MIMIMUM for a AAA title release.

    yea the unity license is 1500$. thats just for unity, has nothing do do with nintendo or xbox. you have to pay them as well. and like i stated above, your looking at about 500k. so why not just get unreal or cryengine?

  • @WideOpen411 it might be the way nintendo work, but I know that Playstation are really into new developpers for Ps exclusivity... Can go with unreal or cryengine but Unity offer more direct support (easier).

  • @TheBinaryCore Dude this is pretty awesome - so the graphics aren't great - who cares - the concept is ace and the dedication she has to follow through with it? Its awesome and with a bit of work I'm sure it would be upto standard regarding graphics. I love the idea though :) Very original and it looks fun :D Great use of the Wii mote too for original gameplay, who woulda thunk it :)

  • you could improve the game by adding a condition to be careful not to break the vase! :) your polygon normals are flipped on the hammer that is why it seems to be inside out. have you made any more games?

    Hello, well when I did this project I had no experience in 3D and I did it in 4 month, so yes the technical part could be far more improved, but this is the concept and the idea that I wanted to share....

  • you can make a wii game with unity 3d but how can you copy it to a wii, with an sd card or do you need the homebrew channel on your wii, help mii, i have wii 4.3

    You make the game on PC, then you do something to put said game on the Wii.

  • wow this is cool, i think unity 3d is great, im trying to learn the stuff for an rpg that i wanna make, however, im watching this series and this guy has me righting like a page of codes just to make a turret shoot at a worm. i dont get any of it, i find myself just copying what hes righting, and when an error happens, i dont know what to do.

  • This is your fault, not the TornadoTwins. Basically follow their examples, pause the video and then look up what they have been asking you to write in the unity script reference. If you have never coded before then dont expect it to be easy, and I would also suggest you dont try and make an RPG as your first game, make pong or arkanoid. or something simple like that so you understand enough to be a bit more creative.     Im assuming your watching Tornado Twins? Some of there commands aren't meant for windows, only for mac, like the death script, for when you fall of the map. If you need help, I might be able to help you out, since im fairly good at using Unity.

  • @chizzychizzy78 Um. . . I watch Tornado Twins and I'm on a Windows and the death script when I fall works fine... if it messes up for you at all, YOU did it wrong... not them.

  • Just about the projet my first idea was mainly to do a virtual sculpting tool. I was interested in the interaction of the hammer on the stone. I wanted to simulate the sculptor gesture, on a negative way. Indeed Leonardo de Vinci used to say "I want to unveil what is inside the stone" whereas most of the software used by sculptor today are additive...

  • I did this project in 4 months, and as someone as noted, it still should be improved. So I never published it on the wii because I did not have the unity3D licences for it. I used a program call "darwiinremote" modified to connect the wii on my mac. If anyone would like to test it I could send the programs..

  • My first window is a plane on which I textured a photo. Buttons are GUI elements. I use Unity "levels" to load different scenatio :
