Thank you so much! I've been "doing battle" with 2 Word Faith followers on YouTube for going on 3 weeks now. I've been accused of being ignorant, full of pride and promoting a false Bible. I was feeling alone in this battle and God has shown me people such as yourself that have stood strong with the True Gospel. The most appaling thing about Word-Faith is that they deny that Jesus Christ is God AND claim that no where in the Bible does he say he was God. Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you!

There we find that in reality we don't have the power of the mind to make anything come to pass just by "taking thought". Nor can we by our "head" make one hair black or white. You do not need to visualize, or even tithe for God to meet your needs. He gave my husband and I a brand new car in a very miraculous way which we had only prayed for once, and at the time finances were so tight that we hadn't given any money at church for over 6 months.
I'm not suggesting that people stop giving, just that teaching that God's provision is dependent on us in any way is not only wrong scripturally, but also in my own experience.

I listened to and began to practice what was in The Secret and The Law of Attraction cd's. Well something(s) secretly attracted themselves to me. I am delivered now and forgiven. But they were definitely demonic spirits. I wasn't aware that they were there until I repented, turned back to the Lord Jesus asked forgiveness and called those things out. I don't know if I would recommend any to do that on their own. I just had the faith from before and knew what God allowed of me.

People must learn in silence when being taught. This is basic. Men must learn in silence as well. It's disrespectful, indecent, & disorderly for anyone to talk while someone is teaching. Obviously wives in this assembly were being disrespectful.
A married couple named Aquila and Priscilla taught together, & Paul commended both of them for their ministry. The husband nor his wife attempted to usurp Christ's authority to teach anyone. The bottom line is God expects Believers to impart knowledge, but they must not usurp authority in the process.

In Matthew 20:20-28, Messiah taught that NO Believer (male or female) is allowed to exercise, usurp, or take authority over another Believer. That is how worldly rulers operate. Servants of Christ minister in humility...not by exercising, usurping or taking authority over one another. If a woman lords it over her husband, she should be corrected.
If a husband lords it over his wife, he should be corrected as well, & YES...God expects his wife to show love for him by correcting him when he walks contrary. If the husband has a beam in his eye & cannot see to correct himself, the wife is obligated to correct her husband in humility.

Unfortunately, I started listening to other Christians and their insistance upon these prosperity teachers as being of "the way". It's easy to be deceived especially when you don't do your own bible study and see if it lines up with the word of God.
