  • This the best trailer ever. I'm not being sarcastic it's awesome

  • @Dproguyzerz You must be the producer.

  • Best godzilla movie ever

  • You know, this has to be one of the most epic looking trailors I've seen thus far. Except when the advertising dude starts talking T-T

  • @CrankshaftRabbit9164 I agree, but the advertising of the new DVD release may let some people know that if they have only seen thehollywoodized Raymond Burr version, they haven't really seen Gojira.

  • @hotheadpaisen Exactly. In my opinion, Gojira is far better than Godzilla: King of the Monsters. A lot more effective too. I've seen the Raymond Burr version long before Gojira a couple of times and now it just looks pathetic compared to the Japanese original....

  • @CrankshaftRabbit9164 It's true that the original Japanese version is light years ahead of the American edited version but it was the Raymond Burr version that made Godzilla popular in America so you got to least give it some due.

  • This was some serious stuff back in 1954 for the Japanese.

  • Gojira is the one true king of the monsters.

  • classicmedia make more pls

  • I bought this on Blu-Ray from Ebay today.

  • I prefer the band.

  • Wow great movie, it is my no1favorite gojira movie

  • King Ghidorah has 4 Youtube accounts.

  • @PrinceLuis100 one for each head and then another for the monster as a whole maybe? haha

  • @PrinceLuis100 5, lol

  • @PrinceLuis100 Now 5 :(

  • @PrinceLuis100 Yeah no mechaking ghidorah has 1 account

  • @PrinceLuis100 Actually, Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, Gigan, Biollante, and Destoroyah all disliked this video.

  • oh i thought it was pronounced GAH-JUR-AAA not GO-JEAR-UHH

  • whats so cool about this is that legendary pictures is going to take this Godzilla .... well picture it ..gojira..+ fear..equals

  • @Zlagie hahah good one!

  • I also forgot to mention the moral dilemma at the end of this movie is fucking awesome and relevant to real life.

  • Comment removed

  • @jaredowty Most people don't know about it since it was only in the original Japanese version, not the US version.

  • A true Classic..

  • A stunning masterpiece!

  • I had this on VHS, it was called "Godzilla" though....is there a difference?

  • @OmniTron1000 If, it has american actor ramon burr, then yes. The american version was cut down and they added Americans to it, therefore they made it a B-Movie. Sorry.

  • @Zlagie sorry for what? I still liked it...I mean...it's a giant lizard with radioactive breath or some shit like that....sure it is awesome....but...c'mon, it's still a B-movie.

  • I don't know, I like the french band a lot better, but this is great too

  • if the govnrenment didnt do 911 how com it happend on 911 it was a plan orcastrated by the us wiht help of new world order organization ho put fluorine in water 2 kil kidz mercury injections

  • @banhedda WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.GET OFF THIS VIDEO YOU STUPID SPAMER.

  • @banhedda ...And what does this have to do with Godzilla??

  • the dvd extras are a let down :(

  • The godzilla google eye shot shall haunt your dreams forever.................

  • if they think godzilla is a gojirasaurus then they should hide not run gojirasaurus is only five feet tall

  • THE MOST GREATEST AND INFLEUNCAL MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!!!!

  • Thumbs up who wants The Nostalgia Critic to make an Old vs. New: Gojira vs. Godzilla!

  • Gojira will instantly win.He hates the new one (i also have a deep hatred for that piece of crap).Gojira had deep and complex symbolism and a good story and good acting. And alot better special effects, sure it's a guy in a suit but it's done really well and at some points in this film Godzilla looks scary. The 1998 version had poor almost robotic acting, shitty plot and horribly computer genrated garbage that Emerich dares to call Godzilla.Fuck the 1998 version and anyone who likes it.

  • @nightwolf16229 yes, I know, but it will be great to see it!.

  • Yeah but if he does I hope he doesn't harp on the rubber suit thing for Goijra.I mean it really is well done in film but the NC tends not to like stop motion.Suitmation is sort of in the same catagory so I really hope he doesn't make fun of the good effects of Gojira

  • @nightwolf16229 Yes, but when he made the King Kong old vs. new he respected the old effects and said they were good for the time the movie was made, maybe here he would say something like that. I think he would like the stop in motion better because he called the new Godzilla something like a vomitive CGI.

  • @eirino0369 Yes,I hope he does. But still I remember a review where he mocked Ray Harryhausen's effects. In my opinion the classic effects like in King Kong,Goijra still look good today.

  • @nightwolf16229 in final wars the original godzilla kicks the 1998 godzilla's ass :)

  • @jasonbladex Of course he does,GINO is pathetic.

  • @nightwolf16229 whos gino? whats gino?

  • @jasonbladex Godzilla in Name only. The 1998 version doesn't derseve the title of Godzilla in fact Toho offically renamed the beast Zilla because they took the god out of Godzilla.Hes also known as GINO(Godzilla in Name Only),Tristarzilla,Amerizilla and SHIT.

  • @nightwolf16229 yeah zilla sucks balls, hopefully the new godzilla by legendary pictures wont suck and capture godzillas badassery

  • @jasonbladex Yep,I really hope they do a good job on this one.We don't want another shitstain that disrespects Godzilla.

  • @nightwolf16229 yeah the good news is that they gettin some help from toho and they want tohos aproval of godzillas design :)

  • GODZILLA IS THE FUCKING KING OF THE MONSTERS!!! YEAAAAAHHH!!

  • I LOVE GODZILLA IF YOU DO TOO SUBSCRIBE ME

  • boritom: Actually,Universal made scads of sequels to their monster movies all through the thirties and forties. The Creature fron the Black Lagoon (released in the US the same year as Gojira was in Japan) spawned an immediate sequel, The Revenge of the Creature. It is quite possible then that Toho may have been considering a sequel (at least maybe ordering a script) even before Godzilla was released.

  • Godzilla films(especially the newer ones) have better effects than crap like 2012,Avatar,The Day After Tomorrow,Independence Day,War of the Worlds remake Transformers 1-2 etc.Fuck CGI, Suitmation and Stop Motion effects FTW.

  • Damn, too bad the DVD is not available in our country.. T_T

  • this movie is a masterpiece of movies, the best i think

  • Saw the original Japanese version yesterday. A lot darker and a little preachy. Yamani's words at the end show that they had a sequel already in mind.

  • @geinman1287 Actually, they hadn't really considered doing a sequel until after the film's release, when they saw the box office take. Back in 1954, doing a sequel to a science fiction or horror film was a rarity, especially in Japan. Even in the US, other than Son of Kong (1934), no one had ever really made a direct sequel to a genre film like this.

  • wow great trailer :)

  • o leo bue cool nao e ingles

  • godzilla bue's cool I love it when the force area appears with bombs to destroy godzilla

  • wats the music name?

  • @MrTitanosaurus It's the main theme to the whole movie.

  • @MrTitanosaurus

    Godzilla theme

  • that music is so epic ;D

  • If all of the Godzilla movies between this one and Godzilla 1985 weren't made then the series would be a lot better.

  • I saw the first godzilla is a sci-fi film noir.

  • I HOPE TOHO REMAKES THIS MOVIE (NOT LIKE THAT 1998 VERSION), USING AVATAR'S 3-D TECHNOLOGY, MODERN SPECIAL EFFECTS, GREAT ACTORS, AND STILL HOLD THE ORIGINAL STORY

  • @GojiraAVGNFanSSJ4 I'll go watch it definitely.

  • @Austevo8 wow, your the first to comment on my hopes of a remake of this film, thanks

  • @GojiraAVGNFanSSJ4 being a big Godzilla fan, how can I miss something so epic if that really becomes reality? I pray everyday that Toho does.

  • @Austevo8 So do i, hell i would even pay 1 million dollars just to see it

  • @GojiraAVGNFanSSJ4 I say leave it as it is,classic,we're swimming in shitty remakes these days and I don't want to see another raped classic.

  • One of the greatest films ever made!

  • This dark and erie film with a gritty soundtrack that goes along with the film, which Godzilla (1998) didn't have, and thats why Godzilla (1998) is considered a remake or a reboot.

  • I've had the opportunity to see the American and most of the Japanese version. Great movie.

  • Everything about this movie is absolutely classic. Definitely one of my favorite films of all time.

  • So whats better this or Godzilla King of the Monsters

  • @TheTaylorJohnson1 there the same man

  • @gojiraboy aiight thanks

  • @TheTaylorJohnson1 your welcome

  • @TheTaylorJohnson1

They're not the same. The american version had crap editted into it to sell better.

  • @TheTaylorJohnson1 King of the monsters is a B-Movie version.

  • Y-E-S!! LET EVERYTHING HIT THE FLOOR!

  • hell yea! this is the stuff! CGI and computer animation aint got shite on rubber suits and little tanks and planes! lol!

  • classic film seen this on amc when i was 14 years old in 1998 this was better than the remake although the remake did keep the original movie's plot!

  • can you put the uncut part of this movie

  • i have never seen gojira but i will get it soon is the movie good?

  • @mpjj1000 yup

  • @mpjj1000 very

  • @mpjj1000 Yes.

  • Oh yeah! Last summer all Gojira movies came out on tv!

So i've got all of them on dvd :D

  • I've seen this movie 20 times (I think)... I love it ! Everytime I heard this song I'm all excited ! Best movie ever !!!!

  • "we"? Were you somehow involved? Shame on you.

  • This movie is a masterpiece. if you disagree, you're wrong.

  • @versus79 While many people agree with you about this, i dont see what is so great. Although i have not seen the movie, i have although seen remade version Godzilla. I don't see the big deal over this bad graphics and terribly unrealistic movie, then again i have not seen this movie so i am not one to judge. My guess is that this is a movie that was loved "back in the day", the younger generation i doubt will like this movie as much as its claimed to be. Im not a hater, just wondering the reason

  • @JnNGaming Every giant monster movie is unrealistic. What separates Gojira from everything else is its raw sense of humanity and anti-war/nuclear themes, and the general sense of horror depicted throughout the film. Real human characters, genuine suffering, etc. If this film had a bigger budget and longer production schedule, it would've been downright amazing. But it's still a very good film, the best of its genre IMO and still has yet to get a good sequel.

  • @JnNGaming Give it a watch before deciding- this is considered the best of the movies.

  • @versus79 i agree with you 100% , this was made back when people's blood sweet and tears went into these movies. in the case of Gojira it was almost literal, the suit got SO hot that the actor actually fainted a couple times. but yes a VERY good movie, a respectable classic.

  • GODZILLA movies is a lot better than many western 1950's horror movies

  • @luismiH20

I would dissagree, in essence horror in the 50's was almost always about giant mutated monsters or alien invaders, in both Japan and the West, but here we had a few nice vampire-movies too, and a few about haunted houses, and let's not forget the upcoming of psychological horror in the late 50's, something way above Japanese horror. However, good horror went downhill in the West in the mid 80's and not a single good horror movie has been produced since (zombies are action).

  • @luismiH20

In my opinion, the last good horror movie made in the West was Nightmare on Elm Street in 1984 and from the mid 80's the Japanese horror movies became better and better and they were actually scary (ju-on, ringu, pulse, etc etc). The only thing Hollywood could think of was doing zombie-movies (which aren't scary and of which most, with notable exceptions, suck), coming from a big zombie-fan and doing sloppy remakes of Western and Japanese cult classics.

  • @luismiH20 OH YEAH!!!!OH YEAH!!!!OH YEAH!!!!

  • Whoa not bad for a 1954 movie. I've only watch Godzilla when I was 5 I think the 1998 version didn't know he started all the way back to the 1950's

  • Yeeeeaaahhh The one that started it all! Made me a monster fan instintly...way back in the day XD

  • man, it must been awesome to see Godzilla: King of the Monsters in the theaters. I still remember when i saw Godzilla 2000 when i was a kid.

  • i know right zilla is just a scrawny little runt

  • @hybridRace92 anger issuses.....

  • classic roar.

  • Jeff Goldblum should play Dr. Sherizawa in the Legendary Pictures reboot. Anyone agree?

  • Would be nice, but I don't think it would work. If anything, the new one should be a semi-sequel to the 1954 movie. Something of the non-believers in the U.S. finally realizing the stories from Japan were true. Maybe an undiscovered son of the late Serizawa would be working on ways of manipulating oxygen, just as his father did. I think this would work better. :)

  • JPcowboy: you have an interesting proposition, but that story would require prior knowledge of the original film and sadly most Americans have not seen Gojira. Sure it would appeal to Godzilla's cult following, but in order for Godzilla gain a new found respect a reboot is the best option. That is why Batman Begins was far better than a sequel to Batman and Robin.

  • You are probably right. Although, I could see a coupled dvd release of this film with the old one from Classic Media once the new one is done in theaters. However, Jeff Goldblum would seem like the best candidate in a reboot. I'm considering all ideas at the moment for, as you may or may not know, no script writer has been announced to the public as of yet...

  • Jeff Goldblum would be great not because of his work in the Jurassic Park movies, which was great by the way, but because he played a character similar to Dr. Sherizawa in The Fly. Goldblum's character was an eccentric and lonely scientist who wanted to change the world with his invention, but was ultimately killed by that invention.

  • It would be better to just leave it Japanese lol.

  • Um... first off we don't even know if the supposed LP "reboot" exists or will get off the ground.

Second off, in over 55 years no one has dared try to remake the original Godzilla film. I wouldn't count on it happening anytime soon.

Though I do love Jeff Goldblum. He's a fantastic actor.

I, however, don't want to see him impersonating a Japanese man lol.

  • Just picked this up last night. So awesome. The American version is nice, but he Japanese original really is a great film.

Now I can go on to pick up some of the sequels. I wanted to get this one first before them(this was actually pretty hard to come by).

  • I don't know about you, but the Godzilla theme makes me wanna rampage through a city.

  • this is the best railer for godzilla ever!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • The classic, how can you even think of not having this! This is the one that scared all us kids in the early 1960's. A dead serious Godzilla , in eerie black and white. A true cold war era , look what the Atomic bomb did movie at its best.

  • Gojira is a fuckin win band and an even more win movie xDDD

  • Suprisingly, the storyline makes some sense. XD

  • I always chear for Godzilla, even when he's at odds with the human cast. Not counting the last fight in "Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla" (1974), which I saw on TV, this was the first Godzilla movie I had seen.

Still rooting for the big guy!

  • mine too!!!! I saw it as a kid in my Grandma's house on VHS on a classic Tube TV, and a few months ago, I bought it on DVD, still awesome to watch. One of the best ways to find Godzilla movies is not just online, but also the store FYE found in most malls. I managed to get Godzilla Vs. MechaGodzilla for $10, and found a tin case Volume 3 Pack on sale for $15, which had an individual DVD case for Godzilla X MechaGodzilla, Godzilla: Tokyo SOS, and Godzilla: Final Wars. Goin go get Gojira tomorrow.

  • I was 6 years old and snuck out of bed to see it and my dad let me stay up and watch it. It was sooo awesome. Set my personality for the rest of my life i think. Lol..cant get enough of the army tryin to kill giant monsters..lol..

  • Godzilla looks pretty scary in black & white. One of the best horror movies of the 1950s.

  • wait does gojira means godzilla ?

  • Yes.

  • wait for it.....YES!!!!!

  • gojira means gor
