In general, after both reading Fight Club and seeing it- I'm of the mind that Chuck Palahniuk translates better on screen than in text (something most people might find a contradiction in terms). Rumor had they canceled a screen adaptation for Survivor because of imagery involving crashing planes a little too close to 9/11.

I haven't read much of him, but I know that Raquel would disagree with ya. That said, I happened to completely love Fight Club and Choke (the films), so you very well might be right :)

I actually heard somewhere, Chuck liked the movie ending for Fight Club better than his book ending. Largely, I just think his stuff is better material for film than many books out there. It's like Stephen King says: fitting a book into a film is like packing the contents of your entire closet into a single suitcase and trying to close it. It just doesn't work most times.
