Great review. At the end of the movie I just said to my friend, "And 1 week later she died a horrible death at sea."

If I remember right almost all actresses playing roles in this time period come of as wooden. And yes explaining why someone is mad just takes all of the wind out of that character's sail.

hahahaha woww that Marine Corps ad... Marines brag they have the best commercials but it clearly wasn't always the case. I'll take "Army Strong" over that any day!

Spot on review. Really, well done. By the way, I saw the 3D version and it was very disappointing. The problem with bad 3D is that it just looks like a series of cardboard cutouts. Also, the backgrounds were always horribly blurred, forcing you to look at the actors and not the surroundings. So you made the right choice watching it in 2D xDDD

Great review it seems though that you are not originally an alice in wonderland fan. =) I could be wrong but you are right on many levels. Depps role was underplayed to a degree the dance was odd...and the references my fiance had to ask me about as he didnt know what half the odd words that they spoke meant. Great movie though
