Can anyone tell me why on any war film or documentary here on youtube you name it. There's always these trolls that feel its their duty to give "correct" accounts of how things really happen. Most of the time you click on their profile and they are 22 year old keyboard commandos trying to prove to people that they know more than actually military historians. Thumb up if youre sick of reading their trollish hate filled alternate history.

Hard to say, if they would fight now, I think the UN and NATO, but there still are several points on wich the Wehrmacht winst, especially determination and commanders. The Wehrmacht soldiers fought for their country, whilst NATO and UN soldiers fight for other contries, wich usually means less morale.
And the military commanders aren't the commanders of WW2 anymore. The role of the commander changed, imo making them more incapable.

Wars like the second world war will not happen in the near future. As a matter of fact, I don't think there will be any other wars other then religious and ethnic wars, or maybe a war over nucleair power (Iran/South Korea). We don't have anything to fear from major powers like Russia or China.

I think they should make a similar series about the Pacific Theatre, or maybe about British and/or Russian soldiers, heck it would be kind if interesting to see this kind of series from a German's point of view....(Not saying that because I like the Nazis or anything, but a lot,of people never bother looking at from the Wehrmacht's point of view and they just jump to conclusions about them. A lot of the German Foot Soldiers were good men, they were just on the wrong side)

at the end of some episodes such as the attack on foy seargeant leepgot reads out that up to 70 US soldiers died on the attack on Foy in Belgium so dont say none of them died.

Thats why you hear more about the Holocaust then you do about the Great Purge. Thats also why you hear more about Concentration Camps then you do about Japanese Internment Camps.

I think they should make a similar series about the Pacific Theatre, or maybe about British and/or Russian soldiers, heck it would be kind if interesting to see this kind of series from a German's point of view....(Not saying that because I like the Nazis or anything, but a lot,of people never bother looking at from the Wehrmacht's point of view and they just jump to conclusions about them. A lot of the German Foot Soldiers were good men, they were just on the wrong side)

at the end of some episodes such as the attack on foy seargeant leepgot reads out that up to 70 US soldiers died on the attack on Foy in Belgium so dont say none of them died.
oh and before u start sayin im a yank im English and the English went through far more worse that the Americans for we went through it twice and we got our homeland bombed the shit out of it by the germans. Respect to all them guys in the field

The German soldiers were tough and yes they did lose alot of men. The thing about this is that it's told from the American perspective
Personally I respect the German Soldiers. And Yes I'm an American. But that doesn't mean that I hate the Germans or any other nationality.

Thats why you hear more about the Holocaust then you do about the Great Purge. Thats also why you hear more about Concentration Camps then you do about Japanese Internment Camps.

The fascist nations were far more likely to proscribe history and there is evidence this was the case re: extermination camps and the apparent ignorance of nearby civilians. Comparing an internment camp to an extermination camp is ridiculous and shows a distinct bias and lack of real understanding of the time and context.

@TheCairnslocal I wasnt comparing the extermination camp and the internment camps. if you read the comment, you will see it compares the CONCENTRATION camps and the internment camps. There is a difference between concentration camps and extermination camps(death camps)

No matter how bad you guys say Hitler is you have to admit he was an absolute genius. His plan was virtually flawless. If he wouldn't have tried to attack Russia the world would be an entirely different place right now. Not saying Hitler was a good person, he was horrible and is rotting in the ground.

Theres many more reasons-Russians were used to the harsh winters and had proper gear,Russians mixed gasoiline with gun oil for their weapons to keep from freezing which the Germans just used gun oil and resulted in their weapons freezing. Thats just a couple and its little things like those that will win battles
