  • Cudos on the swap....Imagine going to a import car meet and cranking it up...Better bring a dentist bc jaws are gona be droppin

  • so many ricer terds here. the guy went with the ls1 for 3 reasons. EASY/cheap to modify. #2 Better power to rpm ratio. and #3 Torque. something Nissan knows nothing about in there cars.

this 350 with the stock ls1 will dyno 300-320 rwhp. and 320TQ. makes its Power way earlier in the RPM and the ls1 Have very good topend also. if he puts headers and exhaust. 340rwhp and 350tq he will be running mid low 12's

  • Only a tad bit above 300hp? I have a VQ35DE in my Z with full bolt ons and it makes the same power. If you plan on keeping that LS1 stock, you wasted your money. I would have fully built a LS2 or LS3 before even considering a swap. Hope you end up adding more, cool project though!

  • @AsLifeEndsMusic ls1 350z will make 320ish rwhp and 330ish TQ. a FULL bolton on 370z only makes 320ish rwhp and about 270/280 tq. now. guess what else. that ls1 350z is going to be making power form 3500 till 5800 rpm. 370z doesnt even get into its power range till about 4600rpm and doesnt peak out till about 6000. RPM to power ratio and TQ wins races. gl looking getting owned

  • i have owned one , the 350Z is a shit car to start with - to heavy , wheel spin even with a sixer . Then i got an R34 GTR , WOW now theres nothing on the streets that i dont stomp on !

  • why did you ditch the single turbo 3.5? should of made more then 330 hp.

  • @dragsteralf Torque. something the VQ engines cant make even Twin turboed.

  • hey man, i've got a 2004 infiniti g35 and i'm extremely interested in the LS1 swap into my car...do you have long tube headers? if so, what kind? are they custom? much appreciated.

  • wait....ok...wait...ok....wait.....wait..........wait.......ls1 like corvetter ls1? why not just buy a corvette? and then throw some inline 6 power in the nissan? i'm either confused or ignorant. but i could've sworn bottom line corvettes make more power than that and 350's make 300 with the original v6 in their top model. damnit someone help me here. why is this better than a corvette or a Z from the factory? forgive my ignorance.

  • @nezerac Your just ignorant. Most stock internal LS1 cars with intake, headers and exhaust make in the 340-350whp range through a six speed. With that in mind, making 322whp through my old school three speed automatic is normal, especially running a conservative tune.

On a side note, The stock 350z does make about 300 stock... to the flywheel. They dyno in the 230-240whp range stock so this is an easy 100whp more than stock.

  • @Z33art

ok but don't 350's make better power with simple bolt on mods? like turbo dual intake and a more aggressive tune? i meant it just seems like you could get the same power with less work and less motor so i'm just trying to figure out the advantages of the ls1 (aside from torque obviously) over the stock motor that nissan provides.

  • @nezerac 350z's don't make good power with bolt ons. With the nearly every bolt on you would be lucky to hit 290whp with the stock 3.5L V6. The highest horsepower DOCUMENTED N/A VQ35 I have ever seen was at just over 340whp. That specific car was stroked to 4.2L, had individual throttle bodies, Haltech ECU, fully built heads, cams, and a fairly agressive tune. That car was also a $10,000 build and they are absolutely maxed out for whp.

  • @Z33art switch the VQ35 for the VR38... Modern Powerhouse

  • @Z33art do u know of any videos of this build you speak of?

  • @nezerac not only that, but if you were to make the ls1 carb instead of going efi you basically get an instant 400hp easy just by doing that so a ls1 carb in stock form which it's still considerd stock would be like 360-370whp easy with bolt-ons your looking at a little above 400 to the ground, but wait turbo with stock boost is an amazing 500-550whp easy with different setups

  • @nezerac parts are cheaper for ls products. you may spead a little more on the build at first but in the long run you come out cheaper.

  • @nezerac simply put... american engines.....great!!!! american handling.....sucks. japaneese engines...ok to great jap handling.....super great. i doing the same thing with an rx-7 with an high reving 600hp @8500rpm with 562ft-lb@3000-7600rpm. ls6 motor built by neslon racing. and it will be worth it.

  • where or who did the wiring for this swap , all you can find online are like mounts and driveshafts, nothing anywhere about wiring conversions.

  • @looke83 I did all the wiring myself using a full standalone ECU. The wiring is quite straight forward in my opinion.

  • @Z33art Nice man! did u get the stock gauges to work!? and when you took out the stock pcm did everything else work in the car that needed too?

  • chevelle?

  • are those door handles gun metal? where'd ya get those/ how'd you color them?

  • are those door handles gun metal? where'd ya get those/ how'd you color them?

  • @TrendKilling Different dynos, and hes using a Th400

  • God Damn!! That thing is fucking incredible!! Sounds great and looks badass!!

  • well hell,, thats alot of damn money, lol sure would be nice to own one of those though. thanks for the info

  • thats pretty sick man, what does a set up cost like this , if someone has the motor an tranny already , just the instal ? can you put in a t56 tranny?

  • @hemiowner105 The labor additional parts and upgrades would come out to somewhere between $8,000 and $10,000 I'm guessing. Not really sure because I did all the labor myself. The couple people/shops who have done this swap all use the T56. I built mine for drag racing so I went the TH400 route.

  • @Z33art For that money, you could have sold your 350z, bought a stock C5 and a got a supercharger. It would have been about the same and you would have made more power.

  • Yeah but I can make 400whp now with a $600. There is nothing for the VQ except nitrous that can give you those results at that price.

  • @TrendKilling Sounds about right for a stock ls1, add a cam and he's at 400...

  • how much was the whole modification? btw 322 whp is not bad, considering it should be 230-240 whp stock
