@thearabconnection Not only for flying but for services in general the middle east and in south east asia are probably the best you can get, basically Qatar Airways, Emirates, Singapore Airlines have the service level Air France and British Airways probably had in the sixties. Check also the value for money ,simulate the price for a Paris-NY (A380 first class) and the Dubai-LA (A380 first class)...same price for nearly a 3 times longer flight and without the 'mini room seat'.

And I can tell you Qatar Airways is the best airline you could ever choose, they have the best entertainment systems abroad, best cabin crew, good food (better than other airlines i've taken) and even though Cathay Pacific is also a 5* airline i still prefer QATAR AIRWAYS to it. DOHA international airport is a great place.

I read about Qatar and thought I'll try them. So, I flew on Qatar for the first time this past week and I will not fly with them again. On one flight a broken Jet way delayed boarding. On another flight I was left setting on a plane as a "technical problem" delayed take off for an hour. Then they did not have the food they advertised. So, Corp. Travel will hear about this, I am sick of being screwed. Emirates has always been good to me and after this no other Airline will even be given a chance.

Yeah, who ever said AA was the best, they are smoking smoething that he should share. Although AA has a new "suite" (if thats what yoiu would want to call it) it cant paralelel. I am going to go out on a limb and say emirates suite is the best, followed by singapore (singapore suite is exclusively on the A380 wich sucks) but qatar is still nice. Plus AA is $2000 more than an emirares private suite to go to Dubai. Whats with that?

QA Staff is not knowledgeable or helpful. Once my parents had a very bad experience. They were having two separate tickets: Cochin Doha on Qatar Airways and Doha US on Northwest. Qatar Staff would nt let them board the plane and was asking for transit Visa although they did nt have any plans to go out of the airport. They made my parents wait their for 2-3 hours and finally the learned the fact (not sure from whom!) that the transit was perfectly legal!

Next time they should buy a ticket all the way through instead of trying to save a couple of $? QR could possibly have faced a fine from Immigration if they were illegally entering DOH. I bet QR weren't to know that they had onward connections (because they were on separate reservations!)

When you buy a ticket and transit a country where you MAY need a visa it is always a good idea to check for yourself. It's called common sence. Before you start bad mouthing employees who are doing their job.
