The entire song is great, but that ending is what really does it for me. If you haven't seen one of their live performances, please look it up and watch. Ending is even sicker.
"And I could hardly wait for my stars to fall in line
and synchronize and shine."
Love this lyric. Hum is one of those 90s gems, thanks to the state of affairs back then we had the pleasure of hearing their works. Thanks for posting this.
few years ago a couple went out to dinner. later that night the babysitter called and asked if she could put a sheet over the clown statue in the kids bedroom. the father said "get the kids out of the house and I'll call the police. we don't own a clown statue." it turned out that the clown was a murderer escaped from jail. if you don't repost this message on 10 videos the clown will be in your bedroom tonight at 3am with a chainsaw sorrry I did this I was scared
too bad "stars" is the only familiarity to the populous. They don't know what they are missing. Then again....HUM is something fans can call their own. EVENSWAP
was in high school during this time. some crazy amazing shit that i thought i was the only one feelin stars. glad to hear people appreciate this stuff for what it is.
Heat Racer Grand Champion............Best song to drive 110 miles an hour to.......blew up two, count em' 2 engines to this song......foot to the floor from3:14 till the end.....a waste of a car(2).
possibly my fav hum song...hard to choose one...fuckin 90's a great time for music...miss it...anyone catch em live with me a Peabody's Down Under in cleveland ohio...bout 94'
No, but I was at a crappy punk show in New Haven Ct. when, between crappy punk bands, whomever was @ the sound board played "Stars" and the place went nuts! Awesome screen name btw, not too many people remember nailbomb.
have heard Hum has gotten back together and done some shows...TOUR damnit...yeah ur the first to recognize my name there...the 90's where a great time for music...bands like Hum and Nailbomb could get signed and put out music
at least Faith No More and Sunny Day Real Estate are back together... Now instead of bands like these we get bubble-gum pop or cookie-cutter metalcore. I came to the sad realization a long time ago that the explosion of INCREDIBLE music we saw in the '90's was the last gasp of creativity we will ever see. From around 1999 on it's been downhill w/ only a few notable exceptions. Check out Refused's 1998 record "The Shape of Punk to Come" ... the single most underrated album of the '90's.
Awesome song by an underappreciated band! I really enjoyed the album cover zebra introducing the song. It should do all of the lyrics too. Thanks for posting these!
really cool song from an even cooler cd.I was pleasantly surprised to see it here on youtube when I took a chance to search for it. thanks for posting

this band has so many deadly tunes. Downward is Heavenward might be the greatest album ever, with this one a close second....
