Sacramones performance was terrible during the olympics and was the reason why Team USA lost. With that kind of performance and still made it to the national team, I wonder how many coaches did she have to sleep with in order to get the spot. I didn't think the bit was very funny but I wasn't bothered by it or anything. I just don't know why gymnastics is constantly picked on. What you must understand about Roy & HG is that they are performing a parody of the typical or clichéd sports commentator. They do this sort of call for a whole range of sports. In fact in Australia this weekend they are performing an alternative spoof radio broadcast of our 2 most beloved football codes and nobody here gets offended, so don't take it so personal that in this clip they happen to be poking a bit of fun at your favourite sport.

Remember it took New Yorkers (the sophisticated ones) 20 years to understand Dame Edna and now they can't get enough of her. You have to take things really slowly with the Americans. Paticularly on the topic of humour which they don't even spell correctly.

I mean americians have different humour to aussies, look at amercian tv shows like jay leno and all that shit i'd rather watch judi dench have sex with adam sandler than watch that shit. absolutely brilliant! Only Aussies can think up such magical parody! Roy and Hg have a radio show here in Australia called 'This Sporting Life' which talks more about local sports (such as Cricket, Rugby League, Afl, Union and their endless support for Mark Webber) and its just hillarious.

I didn't think the bit was very funny but I wasn't bothered by it or anything. I just don't know why gymnastics is constantly picked on. I mean, it's one of the hardest sports in the world, if not THE hardest, and it's made fun of and sneered at by people just because they can't relate to it (How many of you have ever swung a Giant?), and yet other sports which are boring to watch and even sometimes actually look stupid, like baseball and tennis, are placed on a pedastal. It makes no sense.

It sounds like they are. I really couldn't understand your stupid Aussie gibberish, but according to dkeo69, they were making fun of gymnastics. "Crazy date"? That's another way of saying, "I don't know what a flair, not to mention a Gogaladze, is." Typical gymnastics-layman talk.
I didn't find it that funny but I also didn't find it that offensive either. They were making fun of the sport but I'm not that mad about it.

What you must understand about Roy & HG is that they are performing a parody of the typical or clichéd sports commentator. They do this sort of call for a whole range of sports. In fact in Australia this weekend they are performing an alternative spoof radio broadcast of our 2 most beloved football codes and nobody here gets offended, so don't take it so personal that in this clip they happen to be poking a bit of fun at your favourite sport.
