I have heard this tune first as a part of a kind of musical, I think it was called "Tomorrow", in the Market Theatre, maybe 1988. Does anybody remembers better than I do? Are there any registrations? I haven't found anything, so my conclusion is that the name probably was different.
Great! It's the Letterman show. I can't tell if the harmony horn part is being played by Paul Shaffer on keyboard or if Hugh has an "effect" he's using to get the harmony line. Anyone know?

He came to the drumbeat club to jam here in the bahamas, and he in my dad smoked some pot in the car.Hugh is very down to earth and he loved my dad's company when he was down here in Nassaau,Bahamas.

A song that has everything - a clear and concise message, a winning melody line, soulful playing and one hell of a horn line. Yeah!

I seriously think this is one of the best pop tunes of all time. Does it get any better? If it does, I certainly haven't heard it.

How knows maybe he had a previous commitment.

Me too, I thought we'd see him sing this song. I also hoped to see Miriam Makeba. I guess they're both getting old now too.
