Well man that is the archeological version (so called scientific version) but some theories placing the built of the pyramids in 10.000 BC making them aligning with the Orion belt... and I think the movie is trying to use the theory that pyramids were built in 10.000 BC by remaining people from Atlantid that drowned around 10.000 BC and Atlants were considered as Gods or semi-gods due to their advanced technology.
