I am a HUGE Mariah fan; check out my last two videos...I use a LOT of her high notes in my compilations. But she is not what she used to be. Now, she can't even belt an E5 without sounding horrible. I wish she'd stop making albums, because all she's doing is tainting her amazing legacy. The Mariah of today is SOO different from the Mariah of the 90s, I don't even like to think of them as the same person...I distinguish between "Mariah" and "Mimi"!

How could you compare this performance from Mariah's performance...Duh this notes is just okey many singers can do like this...But then try Mariah's song Fly Like A Bird....hit those superhuman damn difficult high notes...

uh..mariah's notes are falsetto/whistle...falsettos are FULL voice, ie her REAL voice. anyone can shriek high in an unnatural voice.

You don't understand though...it's a completely different register. Fergie's is chest voice. Mariah's is falsetto/whistle. It's EASIER to reach high notes in falsetto/whistle than it is in chest voice. That's why there are a LOT of "whistlers" who can't even get above E5 in chest voice. But they can do B6/C7 in falsetto/whistle. Wtf? On the contrary, I noticed that most people who can belt high in chest voice are able to at least TOUCH 6th octave notes in the upper falsetto/whistle range.

Shame on you CFNumeroUno..Well Mariah just hit G#5 note..I think you are the one who dont know music..Whistle Register is not all about high notes coz obviously it is already high..Whistle is all about controlling which is extremely hard to do but Mariah control so effortless...G#7 is Mariah's supreme notes...But according to her famous celebrity vocal coach he heard Mariah hit C8-C9...well very amazing right???...Of course you cant compare Mariah to any other singer talking about range

No sweety, shame on YOU for not being able to differentiate between a LIVE performance and a lip-synched performance. The majority of "Fly Like a Bird" was lip-synched, just like it ALWAYS is.

Mariah can't belt high notes in the upper-register anymore...it's all whistle/falsetto. When she tries to belt higher notes, her voice gets really thin, scratchy, and fragile-sounding. In the studio, of course it is different....the engineers can make it sound better, and THICKEN the notes too.

Shame on you more,and now you are talking about live and lip...Of course that was live...Did you hear Mariah just hit F#5 in AMA performance and don't tell me that was sounds awful...In the Philippines some music artist that have strong chestvoice even tried to hit the note of I Stay In Love but it sounds scream and shouty...And some were just lowered the key

i can't imagine josh and fergie we're engaged, they are so different, and josh is more gurly than fergie. i love fergie and she is always performance wise, and she's really athletic type, when she verticals, i'm amazed. and her voice is so powerful! wide range, but i like her in wild orchid days, she sounds like mariah
