When I was a teenager in the 1970s Robert was our next door neighbour in Mansfield, Notttinghamshire. He was such a lovely guy and I have very fond memories of the parties he gave. I remember going to his wedding. His wife was a girl from south wales. I recall that there were some sad aspects to his life but he brought great joy with his wonderful voice.
Does anyone know if there is a CD available by Robert Young? We saw the TV programme about the undertaker's firm and thought his voice was brilliant. Would love to get a CD. Any help appreciated. Many thanks, nonnykettle
Stranger things have happened when a person has been highlighted in this way. Wouldnt it be great if a person from a record company watched that program last night and did a re-release of Robert Young (or a remix using the usual available technology) . It could provide a revenue for his his family and lauch Robert on to a younger audiance. Fingers crossed.
I hadnt heard of him but watching the TV just now, his funeral was carried out by the youngest funeral director in England. He had a very good voice and I liked his 'She' version on youtube. Even in death, he is able to entertain. Good on you Robert Young! Terry
My mother, who is Robert's cousin, has just told me he has died. He had a beautiful voice and spent his life singing as Robert Young or performing with his brother as Bob and Jack Young. He will be sadly missed by all the family.

My greatest regret is that I have only discovered this beautiful voice lately. This is thanks to Mr Johnvanbuyten. Being out of the UK for many years working overseas
seems to have denied me the pleasure of such a wonderful voice.

No I think song was written and made famous by the French singer Charles Aznavour.
