  • Not so impressed with all the Haas machines they had. I've run them before then moved on to Okumas and there is a night and day difference in quality and performance. I was more impressed with all their inspection equipment.

  • @alderaforall I TOTALLY agree with you. Ran Okumas and DOOSANs before, currently running a Mori Seiki, talk about a difference... :\

  • what music is that??????

  • Great Products.

  • do they make rc nitro pistons? lol

  • 2:39 that was my job last summer, not for JE but a company that ran CNC machines, if you ever had to work at a machine shop you would know how boring it is. made good money though and thats really all that mattered.

  • @seroyer2 programming and designing is the shit though..operating is annoying

  • @CreazioniPinnacolo ya tell me about it.

  • 'merica!

  • boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing

  • I think you guys are over thinking that one sentence...

Yes they are using Solidworks, it's a software you can use to design "custom pistons" So hence a "custom piston" "designing..." "SOFTWARE".

It isn't a CUSTOM software designed for making pistons.

Just like saying it's a "piston designing software" or "car designing software". Nothing wrong with that.

  • Exactly. I was making fun of the video and not trying to divulge JE's secrets. If they wanted to keep it secret they would have never shown it .

  • Would never look at JE again. Sold us the wrong pistons resulting in piston to head collision. Lucky it was found when hand rotating the engine. This is not acceptable to me given the amount of specs they were supplied, the time they took to make and the cost.

  • how about the square piston...

    will that work

  • i beleave you would run into bad detination problems on the corners.

  • "custom piston designing software" ????

    They are using SolidWorks

  • Actually it could be customized to provide some special design features specifically for piston. Solidworks has a programming and scripting interface to allow for this.

  • but if you understood the legal aspect besides diverging what software a company uses you would refrain from stating which they used.

  • Agreed, however they do probably have custom designed adins that allow for more functionally over the basic SolidWorks program. I use SolidWorks everyday and know a lot of people who do also, it's no secret program. And as far as 3d modeling packages go it is one of the cheaper ones but still pretty powerful.

  • its not the fact that the program is a secret. Say XY Piston competitor uses autocad because they think its the best. now they go to solidworks and purchase because JE uses solidworks. Any advantage that maybe was given to JE because they used solid works is now void due to you disclosing this information. Its confidential information and employees can get fired if they are the ones giving it out. not saying you shouldn't have said it, but those are the reasons behind "Custom piston software"

  • Yes duh they are using Solidworks, it's a software you can use to design "custom pistons" So hence a "custom piston" "designing..." "SOFTWARE".

It isn't a CUSTOM software designed for making pistons.

Just like saying it's a "piston designing software" or "car designing software". Nothing wrong with that.

  • @littodevilish the announcers annunciation was to imply that it was 'custom software' for creating pistons. You can't tell that with the timing between the words?

  • awesome work this is my job in egypt

    u r very good

    nice video
