  • One of the best of their time....Never got their recognition, but if you ask anybody in the south during their time they were at the top....Still love their music today...Good tune...Peace

  • Gail McFarland from Pontiac Mi. Turned me on to this in 1989 , she was standing there with her flying J Card :) QC

    Marshall Tucker w/ REO Speedwagon!

    Keeping the Love Alive! ~~~~~~~~~

  • who's the guy at the 2 minute mark ?

  • @foodsales George McCorkle

  • @foodsales Dickey Betts.

  • love Southern rock

  • Phenomenal band that's more than paid their dues and more than deserve to be in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame!! So put the Marshall Tucker Band in the damn Rock n Roll Hall of Fame already!!!!!!!

  • I didn't know that George McCorkle had past one. May God rest his soul and they were the greatist band that I have ever had the opportunity to know. I discovered them on Midnight Special many years ago and they will live in my memory until the day I pass on to hopefully join them.

  • I like how Toy comes in all soft before he turns it out!

  • Man this one tears me up with great memories -paddling out into sunrise summer waves on Montauk Point NY in 76'

  • i got two mares at home and allways hum this song when i take them for a ride....

  • nice one here...they helped make the 70's a very interesting time to be alive...every song brings back a memory...thanks for this DEVIL.

  • One of the most underrated bands of all time . They were incredible live . Them boys could JAM !!!!!

  • Yeah, I saw this band in the hey day man. They were just unbelievable with the energy and picking of Toy and Tommy!!! After Tommy died, they were never the same, and I think it is a shame what the band is now, but hey, we all gotta do what we need to do. Just glad I got to see them many times in the 70's.

  • I know.......unfortunately his vocal chords are shot after all these years.......I'll prefer to remember them as they were.......back then.

  • I will be leaving in about one hour to go see this GREAT BAND at the Snoqualmie Casino in Washington State. 10-30-2009.

George McCorkle, Toy and Tommy Caldwell and Doug Grey's Wife, May They Rest In Peace. We Miss You. I first saw The Marshal Tucker Band Backstage at the Hollywood Bowl in 1973-74 compliments of my good friend Leroy Gains.

  • Toy and Tommy were thumb pickers.

    Great Band

  • Awesome. Just awesome.

  • @TangerineProduction DICKEY BETTS PLAYED GUITAR SOLO ON THIS ONE

  • Yes, it's right up there...

  • my favorite MTB song

  • mine too, but it's so hard most of their songs were 5 star, if I could I'd kick myself in the ass for missing seeing them in the '70s. My friends saw them and said they were awesome and Toy outstanding, and uses his thumbnail for a pick!

  • Tippin' me at to ya my friend!

  • i seen them three times wonderful each time

  • Simply beatiful...could listen all night

    thanks for posting

  • Toy Caldwell could do some chicken picken

I heard him fill up the stadium in saint paul

better than alot of more famous guitarist were able to.RIP Toy

  • seen them live summer 06...omg they are the best!grew up w/their music and yes they should be in the hall of fame!great song!

  • ¡¡¡Excelente material!!!!!

  • Why are they not in the Hall of Fame?

  • my folks still have thier original vynil albums. :D

    they were awsome

  • I have all the MTB vinyl too

  • i'm getting waves of goosebumps!!!

  • Chouette vidéo, mais je trouve les parties guitare meilleures sur le morceau live de l'album "stompin'room only" elles on peut être été retravaillées en studio ?

good vidéo, but i think that the guitar parts of the same title on album "stompin'room only" are best. perhaps re-working in studio ?

    sorry for my poor english

  • "Them Tucker boys are Cookin down in Caroline!"

Saw them in Macon GA in HS. True innovators, great musicians and Vietnam Vets. Thanks for posting this one!

  • the next rainbow i search for will be the one that ends at the H.O.F..i dont like to compare bands but MTB could play with any one any time.i have seen them "LIVE" many times and i would pay my hard earned money to see them again!!!!

  • I absolutly love that soft interlude in the middle before the boys cook it up for the strech run! Long live the Tucker Boys.

  • If I could only have one CD to listen for the rest of my life, it would definitely be Searching For A Rainbow. I can never get tired of hearing it. I thank my dad for listening to them when I was a kid.

  • it was just a beautiful thing this whole rainbow thing on the 60´s,the rainbow , dancing bears we´re all a hippie thing, a simbol...everybody was seaching for their own rainbow....too bad the gay people took all away from us , i woudn´t have a rainbow sticker or dancing bears on my window on now days....but anyway , is one my favorite song from mtb...dont get me wrong man ....i just wanna get the rainbow back....peace for all...

  • How could anyone get "Tucked-out" (sic) listening to music this good?

    Luv'em.

  • Hey Tellit - thanks for much for posting this song!! One of my M.T. Faves!!

Will never forget those Caldwell Bros!!

    MLC

  • Marshall Tucker will live on long after iam gone. iam so blessed to see in person the original lineup,& the group now is very good. -- but Tommy & toy i miss them & there music so much. they will always be my favorite band period---nlhenry55

  • Toy Caldwell you are so missed!!!! RIP one of the greatest guitarist in rock ever!!!!!

  • I've been waiting for a live version of this song to go up on YouTube.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Wow. Correction. This is indeed them!!!

  • Who's ever been better than MTB in their prime?

The originals: Toy, Tommy, George, Doug, Jerry, Paul.

This line-up was damn close. How they've managed to always bring in the talented musicians they have over all these many years is amazing.

Seen scores of live performers in the past 45 or so years (including Frank, Dean, Bruce, Buddy ("World's Greatest Drummer"), Duane & Greg, Bonnie, . . .) -- none better than MTB!

  • I love this band so much... it always bring me back to anywhere i wanted to go back

  • God Bless Marshall Tucker Band.

  • Somewhere in the dark, fuzzy regions of my mind I hear this song on a long dark stretch of Texas highway in a 75 Camaro at warp 9 singing at the top of my lungs. Good times then and still a great song now.

  • how about bob away my blues

  • Thanks Tellit, Keep em coming ! BTW you would'nt have footage for the song Virginia.
