I don't agree in every aspect with what sandrodream1 says, because is never a bad idea to innovate things, I too prefer the original italian style, but maybe because i'm more used to it, and generally i'm grown up with it.
What i hate about usa food industry is places like Olive Garden, that are a disgrace. and the tendency to say invent something and call it italian, while here in italy we never ever heard of those inventions.
So most of the "italian" things are impreporly called so.

@sandrodream1 Here in america we dont refer to it as Italian pizza, just pizza, we know its our own flavor of pizza. That's what makes this country great, immigrants bringing their own carnation of food from their homeland and redoing it.
Also you cant generalize and say "this pizza is better than this from this country" it all depends where you eat it from. There are 10's of thousands of pizza joints all cross the US, not to mention you're naturally going to prefer what you grew up eating.

MOST DEFINITELY!!! I live in Memphis now after being born & raised up in Chicago.I grew up eating Gino's Pizza,Italian Beef,White Castle & a restaurant called The Coffe Pot(if it's still there) on 115th & Michigan
@CraigJericho Yes the square, homemade Italian style pizza is the best. I had a neighbor from Italy that used to make this, It was the best pizza I ever ate.
I've been going to Lou Malnati's since i was a toddler and to this day as an adult i still enjoy going their and just taking a bite out of their pizza , best tasting pizza in chicago in my opinion.
