I know Warren Ellis once saved his neighbour's cat from drowning, and refuses to discuss what happened during his trip to Mexico, but I am unaware of any comics connection.

The word "ellis" could point to Warren, or LSD-taking, no-hit-throwing, recently deceased Doc. You gotta be clear here.
