She is the shame of her district, and yet 70% of my fellows here in the 18th voted for her. Faulk got only 27%, the best showing by a Republican that I can recall. The legislature will redistrict next year, so I'd bet that it becomes an even safer seat for the Democrats. I'm hoping that my precinct has become sufficiently Republican to be attached to another district, likely John Culberson's 7th or perhaps an entirely new one -- after all, Texas is picking up at least 3 seats this time, maybe 4.
