  • im sorry but this isnt a ronnie milsap song , when burt bacharach wrote it it was going to be given to a singer called tommy hunt, burt said no if chuck jackson doesnt get to sing it first ill put it on a shelf and no one will ever sing it ......it is and always be chuck jacksons song first and foremost

  • Thanks. I didn't know he did a version of this great Ronnie Milsap song and it's good, as is your video as well : )

    respectfully--

  • rod stewart is awful awful ,,paul is the man

  • wot a gawgus voice

  • His remakes are a thousand times more pleasent to listen to than Rod Stewart!

  • cheers for upload, nice one mate.....great song.

  • Sweet...really smooth.

  • Beautiful voice, great song.... but try listeing to the very different version by Lou Rawls...fab.........

  • Nicely done.

  • Possibly worth sending a little praise in Burt Bacharach's direction for writing it in the first place !

  • Karen Carpenter did a superb version of this song 'live' while drumming at the same time. In fact, I'd have to say Karen and Paul Carrack are my two favorite singers ever. Glad Paul is still making incredible music! What a voice!!!!

P.S. Lennon, McCartney and Sinatra ain't bad, either!

  • One of my favourites P.C. has done. not including all his own marvelous writings.

  • the song does all the work, Pauls voice is very smooth and effortless.

  • A decent version, but nobody sings this song better than the criminally overlooked Ronnie Milsap who took this song to number one on the charts in 1982.

  • We all have our favorites. Milsap did a good version, but the original by Chuck Jackson remains untouched.

  • I love this version by Paul Carrack to. I love the Groovin CD, never get tired of listening to it. Classics.

  • A fabulous version of a great song

check out the Groovin Cd where Paul covers this and lots of other Classic tracks by 4 Tops, Dionne Warwick ,Isley Brothers, and Van Morrison among others.

  • Only Paul Carrack could cover a classic like "Any Day Now", and pull it off with such soulful elan.

Hadn't heard this track before. Many thanks for posting it!

  • have been looking for this song for a long time, thank you very much for putting it on here. I've seen Paul Carrack three times in concert and he's a hidden gem that deserves to be recognised.
