  • sounds nothing like oasis cover your an idiot, sounds like dave nothing like liam but u probly know nothing about either of the bands

  • Sounds a lot like the oasis cover..

    =/

  • Wow this is the best quality i have found of that concert. That was a great concert!

  • DAVEEEEE! BOYDDDD! TIMMMM! SEFANNNN! CARTERRRR! I love these guys. Tim's wearing a shirt with the Mantra OM.

  • C'mon! Where's your harp at? Nobody plays?

I do this song when camping, the whole song on harp (G), no band. It's a barnburner if you want it to be

  • that would be my my, hey hey...

this one is HEY HEY, MY MY

    its different...

  • @ibgrimme what do you mean harp? you play this song on an actual harp?

  • Hahahahahaha. Youre a fag. (You too jiggypuff....really? "jigglypuff"?)

  • fuck you europeans ur all a bunch of fuckin homos u guys can "rock out" all you want but if each north american got in a fight with each european wed fuckin kill you guys...so apparently u europeans havent heard this yet...talking shit online is like winning the special olympics, even if u win ur still retarded

  • I think you won!

  • @pantherT201

so, you're not a european? you re a racist?

  • @efflagitatio

Racist? You mean like NASCAR? XD

  • Oh, that's RACER. Never mind......

  • @ibgrimme yes, just like NASCAR.

  • yea a north american audience for a north american guy,

  • zakk wylde plays a pretty damn good version too

  • Greaaatt niggghht <3

  • Wow, I swear I was right next to you, or right in that area! Thanks for posting this! Excellent show! RIP Leroi..

  • this is the first version of hey hey my my that wasint screwed up.......props

  • I wasn't thrilled with Dave Matthews years ago. Than about 7 years ago a light seemed to switch on and I got him. He has great taste. He's a great talent IMO. Also he loves Neil Young. That speaks volumes to me personaly. ..my 2 cents... ~curiosg5

  • yea leroi was here this night

  • Thanx Jen for your reply.yeah i was to later find his accident was the 30th or something his last show was the 28th of June i saw a post of it on a friends page from youtube & it was dated June 28th....I still cant beleive it what a sad day,sad week it has been. I hope the rest of the DMB Community is doing well.

God Speed LeRoi...RIP we miss you!

  • I was in the front row at this show. Unbelievable night!!

Dave winked at me ;) lol

  • iTS HARD TO TELL ,I have watched a couple videos from 6/3/ but i cant tell if LeRoi is there this night. can you clear this up for me? i would appreciate it. Thank You

  • Yes. Leroi was there that night, he didn't get injured until after the 6.28 show.

  • @jenfred113

    you could have gotten some

  • the hershey show was cool...

  • the hershey show was my favorite to date! what a great nite

  • Too Short! Very Kool to hear the guys play this style. While it's no substitute, it's very, Very Kool.

  • Un-fuck***believable. Nice nod to Neil in Toronto, being his birth place. Nice to see Timmy up there.

  • i was at his concert last night in Toronto. He pulled this song out as the first for his encore.

its 10X as good when your there

  • he just played this for the encore as well in Toronto last night and it was amazing! We all had a joint out and a beer in hand and it was perfect. I love dave

  • i was there omgggggggg

    it was amazing

  • I want Dave to come out with a cover album, either live or acoustic.

Fire & Rain, Sexual Healing, Full version of Fools Rush In, Bennie & the Jets, In My Life...

Frick, wouldn't that just be the best!?

  • they played this at hartford 6/13, i loved it!

  • Tim is Dave's Crazy Horse

  • haha Tim's shades, priceless

  • I was at the NE Dodge Music Center on the 13th and the show was so nasty! This song was great but Two Step was by far the sickest song I've ever heard at a concert! At least 18 minutes, I couldn't stop screaming!!!

  • how awful is it that i couldnt for the LIFE of me remember when he played that song. I swore in my head he didn't - but that was when I snuck to front row! I guess I didn't hear it. This song rocks. Then again. They all do.

  • i think this song will be on the next album because he has played this at at most of his concerts this year. i saw him at new england dodge music center and he was AMAZING!! he did this as an encore and the crowd went wild! great cover

  • Yea, I was their to, and it was a great cover, but I can't see them covering a song on a studio album, unless they've already done it and I'm just being stupid

  • He played this on the thirteenth in Hartford as well

  • Carter Beauford = God

  • That's the first time i've seen Tim with an electric let alone the Flying V

    -Great Vid

Live long Dave, Live forever your beautiful music

  • The only time I didn't enjoy Butch in the band was when he did the solos for AATW. Those sounded strange. I did find him to be a good asset to other songs, though. Can't wait for Hershey 6/27!

  • thank you for sharing! great song. and what a great spot you had- or maybe it's just your zoom (?)- either way, great video! and tim looks amazing! best decision ever for him to play the whole summer tour.

  • i cant really agree with the statement that they are better without butch. butch was pretty amazing on the keyboards. it seems like there is a little more energy with the electric guitar. but it is two aspects that cant really be compared. both butch and tim bring a big part to the band, but everyone has their own opinion. a lot of people will be upset with butch leaving but i think tim will do just fine.

  • too bad you werent at the stl show, this is good quality. most of the videos from busch stadium were kinda suckish

  • THANK YOU!!! I totally agree and no one has ever agreed! The keyboard just doesn't go with the rest of the band, it's a totally different sound.

  • Covers with Tim Reynolds on guitar are better than a lot of DMB songs with Butch Taylor on keyboards.

  • last nights concert was the best i've seen him EVER

  • this was from the show tuesday - he wore a different shirt last night - short sleeved with a dark blue shirt underneath - close - but this was definitely from tuesday. yes he sang it both nights! early in the show tuesday and as the encore wedensday. dave rocks!

  • concert was so good

  • i don't know i guess he played it both nights? I have no idea, i just know i was at the concert last night and for the encore he played this and was wearing the same thing too.

  • i was at this concert last night, thank you so much for posting! but this actually happened on June 4th not the 3rd

  • Then how did he post it on the 3rd...?

    Youtube says:

    "Added: June 03, 2008"

  • that video board is awesome!

  • Wow, this sounds amazing! I love Dave's covers of songs...especially Neil's. I wanted to go to one of the Pittsburgh shows but nobody else wanted to go with me...however I would have been mad if I found out he played this at other shows and not Pittsburgh haha.

  • night 1 encore was Hey Hey My My > Tripping Billies.

I would have to say this two night run was my favorite dave matthews band experience in 11 shows, even though my buddies girlfriend shit her self in the car and puked all over me.

Needless to say, her new nickname is Shitpuke.

  • Are you high? You would rather here this cover over tripping billies? you've got to be shitting me? This sounds terrible imo.

  • The encore was 'Hey Hey, My My' into Tripping Billies, retard.

  • either way this song sucks.

  • i concur. i know dave is a fan of neil young's but c'mon dave you could of chose something else. nonetheless dmb still rocks.

  • this song is a timeless classic to many, many people. its about reaching the darkest point in your life and choosing to end it as opposed to living with the lies, and deceptions of those around you. its a homage to those in rock who were too fragile to deal with it, but too good of people to ever concede to it. one can only feel passive remorse; hey hey my my. and speak to what the contribution was they made; rock and roll will never die...

  • He played this one at the concert last night in St. Louis. It was nice to see all the teenagers sit down and actually listen. I'd say 75% of the crowd there WASN'T there for the music, and so, all we heard was talking and screaming and noise.....big disappointment.

  • That's one thing that sucks about DMB. All the stupid ass little fucking kids that 90% of the time don't know how to fucking act.

  • Most of the little kiddies are on the lawn so I avoid it at all cost.

  • Spot on

  • lol... awesome...? I still dont like the way this song sounds. Dave Played some Pink Floyd at Toyota park Friday night in Chicago... that was awesome.

  • ive never seen so many people carried out of one place it was a slop-fest but it really was a great set

and he didnt finish with tripping billies what are you talken about?

  • what row were you. i have row 19 for columbus and i would love to be anywhere near that close. GREAT STAGE DESIGN!

  • Man.... Sweet baby jesus those were both kick ass shows last night!Desptie the weather and some lame assholes it was great! T-blaze

  • last night was an awesome setlist and antsillie thats why people get sets on the lawn

  • his covers on wednesday night were awesome. I heard there were different setlists...does anyone who went on 6/3 if they played tripping billies?

  • right after this song actually!

they ended with tripping billies.. and dave did his solo nature intro from live at luther college intro!

    it was sick

  • he played Melissa by the Allman Brothers Band last night, and it sounded awesome. His shows are always amazing.

  • he played pink floyd - money in pittsburgh on may 31st, i love when he plays other's songs

  • I love this song! Loved oasis' version and hope to hear this more this summer

  • i was at the show last night on the lawn and wanted to leave. it was a disgrace to see everyone acting like a bunch of retarded animals. only 2 out of every 10 people where there for the music it seemed like. everyone else it was a giant party. people urinating on the lawn, passing out, throwing up. just about every girl there looked like a slut and acted like one. how can people act like that? the future of america, can't wait.

  • Well i mean...that's what happens on the lawn. That IS why people get lawn seats...to party. I was section 103, in the middle row on the end two seats closer to the stage...it was the most incredible concert experience ever. I'm sorry your experience wasn't the best, but believe me, there WERE people there who were all about the music...you just had to look a little farther.

  • o yea wish i was that close i had lawn seats

    :(

  • dammit, i really wish i'd bought tickets to both shows

  • So sad I missed this :(

  • ugh they were soo good, trippin billies was pretty much amazing last night =] so funn.

  • I WAS THERE it was so amazing i cant wait to go tonight it is going to be sweeet

  • damn...Dave sounds just like Neil for this one

  • I was there last night when they played this during their encore. It was awesome.

  • what a sick song. Thanks for the upload.

  • Awesome video man, I was there on the lawn.

  • thanks for sharing!

  • Just flat out effing sick man. I love that they have covered this song. One of my fav. classical rock pieces.

  • because of timmy, they can do these kinds of covers, such as money, and hey hey, my my. wonder what's next!

  • Timmy is the man! Thank you for being on the road with the band!
