A few minutes after Chick returns home from doing absolutely nothing on the asteroid he blows his pocket change and child support on the craps tables once again (he did, as we all know, request a weeks stay in Caesar's palace).

My favorite part: "He got big." Yeah, that tends to happen over 6 years you bastard. People think he's honorable? He obviously did something terrible enought to warrant a divorce and no visitation rights. This man is scum.

This scene brings me back to watching this movie over and over again. Me and my best friend love this scene so much every time we see it it brings so many tears..........of laughter. First he comes to say "sorry" after neglecting them for what seems to be 6 years. His payment for missing all those child support payments? A dollar store spaceship toy. And before he leaves he has the nerve to say "you might be proud of me". Can't believe they tried to develop this asshole as a father.

After she drops the phone, she then tells him that the "salesman" is his father. Ahh.... Nice timing! But it is cool in the end that she allows the son to see his father for who he really is: a hero.
