Dale - the tourist commissions need to pay you for this video! I've been to Fort Mtn dozens of times but I've never made it to an Apple Festival and now I want to go! And my kids are 7-12 range but it still looks like tons of fun!
Dale, the colors were so LUSH! Was that your camera or post? And that last shot... the kids then the odometer... a purely magical moment! This video takes me back... which confuses me since I'm a Dallas boy... lol
Lush colors were a little bit of both. Great camera (Canon HG10) and a few simple adjustments of color correction in Final Cut. We realized that we would hit the 100,000 mile lark during the trip, so I shot the odometer at the beginning, and we were so glad that we got off the mountain before it hit the magical mark, because there would have been no safe way to shoot that (thru the sterring wheel) on a curvy road.
We are planning a trip to see the leaves this weekend and will spend some time in Ellijay. Love those small towns, thanks for sharing your beautfiul family, nice music
LOL, yeah! BUT, a wheel bearing started going bad on the ride home (right after hitting that mark). So, I just had to get that fixed this past weekend (thanks to the FIL).
Thanks! The festival was not all that wonderful. We were very disappointed. For adults it would be ok. But for kids, it was a bust. But Ellijay and Fort Mountain are beautiful this time of year. And we loved the parade! Take care.
You always make me remember how much I love Georgia. This video brought back great memories of when I used to go to the Apple Festival. Looks like you all had a wonderful time. WOW! Kinsley has grown up so fast! She is so beautiful! :] Take care!!
I can see some mountains far far away when I look out my window :) kinda cool also see the lake in my town.. even tho i live smack in the middle of town :)
Beautiful Dale...I loved the close up on the banjo players fingers and the tapping foot...but my favorite is at 6:35 with the kids walking up the path together...I enjoy your video's so much! Thank you so much for sharing your art!
This was wonderful to watch. Generally on each adventure there is someone to trip, but not here. wow. I know this is the most challenging part when travelling with kids.
You are so right kind sir. Keeping up with the kids, keeping them safe, making sure they have a good time, AND shooting a decent video...probably one of the most difficult things I ever have to do. :-) Thanks for watching my old friend and original subscriber!!!
Oh you absolutely shared another great moment :) Well done and happy halloween!!! I bet that will make for a nice video as well... at least I hope it does!
Hey buddy. I responded to this back when you posted, but it must not have stuck. I did post a video for Halloween, but it is in a "hidden" place. I will send you the link in a PM. :-)
GREAT as always Dale!! Looks like a really fun day! Oh wow...Shriners gone wild lol...wish I had known you were in Ellijay ... I'd have wanted to meet ya for lunch. You must tell me these trhings Dale!! :)

Sterling job as always! I gotta ask though as someone who has marched in many a parade... how'd you avoid showing even one horse poop?

I actually WANTED to get a shot of that. That is probably why it didn't happen! ;-)
