Series 3 was the best! The Master instead of the Daleks, the Doctor and Jack back together, mature interesting stores not to mention Martha, the best companion!
Martha was one of the best companions. She was incredibly smart. I'm a Rose/Doctor shipper, and the fact that Martha was in love with the Doctor didn't make me like her any less because she was truly amazing. This scene was brilliant.
I hate it when people say that Martha was a rubbish companion, she actually did a lot. She saved the Earth with just words and she was the only one who understood what the Doctor was saying. It was the Doctor's fault that Martha looked at him in a different way because he didn't tell her anything about Rose.
I don't want to upset anyone but she has done a LOT more than Amy who, face it, is getting a lot of popularity because of her looks.
@stuffnessxoxo - I so totally agree with you. Amy is such a useless bratty, stubborn, self-centered companion. Her character is too self-absorbed... Martha is actually my 2nd favorite companion. My 1st favorite is Donna :)
This is why Martha is my favorite companion. In this moment, she is the best of humanity; she did not murder, but rather used humanity's ability to think and create to save the Doctor; that is the essence of this show.
She shows deep personal strength, resolve, and individuality to be able to calmly kneel in front of the Master and tell a story like that. I was on the edge of my seat!
It's no wonder she ended up traveling time and space with the Last of the Time Lords. Long live MJ!!!!!!!!!!!!
Without a doubt, the most awesome DW moment ever! The incrediably courageous and gorgeous Martha Jones/Freema was breath-taking. Even the Master, was enchanted when she started her story! Thank you so much for posting this - LOVE Martha! <3
Am I the only one who is prepetually amused at Captain Jack being the only person standing around with a dirty face? I know why he's all dirty and so forth, so please don't try to explain - it still strikes me as highly amusing.
Have any of u guys noticed? Martha has the same initials as Michael Jackson? And they both have red blazers. (Even though Michael's was orange from Thriller but u know wat I'm saying.)
@Chulva Long time since you posted this, but I have to ask...did you burst into tears during EoT and did it indeed for you, as it did for me, top every ending prior to it?
(the key to some bits would have been to watch the spinoffs too, Torchwood 'Children of Earth' and such to get the full absolute impact of those last things the Doctor did for his friends)
When the Master is reminded about the ArchAngel Network, you can see he is thinking. "Damn it, I should have blown those satilites up." Lovely music for the Doctors returning to normal, really emotional way he says "The one thing you cant do . . . is stop them thinking!
I would have also loved to have seen all the Doctor's regenerations cycling through when he rejuvenates. Apart from being very costly and making no sense at all, it would have been excellent lol
I loved the look on the Master's face when she mentions the satellites. Perfect. Yeah, Russell did a wonderful job. I love it that Martha didn't need any special powers to save the world; just her own personal strength and endurance and determination and trust in the human spirit. That's kind of wonderful. But I could have done without the Doctor as Messiah message. I'm glad the Doctor points out that it's the faith of Humans that restored him though.
I think it was a lot better than this years Finale. They under-used Davros, the beach scene wasn't that good and Donna's end was just really thrown in. "Last of the Time Lords" was immense.
I absolutely hated this scene - Freema did a fantastic job, but wtf, Tinkerbell? Clap your hands if you believe! Russell, stop making the show really good and then ruining it by doing embarrassing things like this. Pretty please?
it was not saying he was god, they used the archangel network satielles to channel the energy into the doctor. but it has a message that we should all try channeling our energy into a higher been.
The whole Doctor being sorta god is pretty weird and I didn't like that much.I loved the Master and I continue to think he's fantastic in a total evil way.NOT ignoring the fact that Martha Jones is absoloutely FANTASTIC!

Cheesy as it sounds, love and faith can do a lot of incredible things.
