Caught my first ever trout on the Urr when i was 11, tiny Mepps, Old Bridge of Urr. Still a vivid memory 47 yrs later!
Such a shame about the grilse, but you did the right thing Will. Did you strip the dressing off the hook to keep the pattern a secret :-)
