  • yak00zy : Gee, I wouldn't know. How does it feel to be an idiot? I hardly think that if anyone does not like rap music; or even consider rap, music, I hardly think that makes them an idiot. If you want to hear good music, listen to Andrea Bocelli sing Angels We Have Heard On High; or listen to Iris Dement and Emmylou Harris sing Our Town, or listen to Lionel Ritchie and Diana Ross sing Endless Love. Nobody can sing that song like those two. Now that is good music.

  • THANK YOU!!!!

  • looks like snot coming out of his nose

  • diddley diddley diddley diddley boom boom.

  • Super is the best.........

  • very nice:X:);)

  • Gracias por subirlo, es muy bueno, tanto así que me gustaría bajarlo en MP3, claro si no es mucha molestia. Saludos

  • A lot of people might think that since I hate rap (crap) music; I must be a racist. I grew up in the '50s,'60s, and '70s. I listened to, and loved a lot of talented black musicians; Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, the Four Tops, the Spinners, Little Richard, Stevie Wonder; Lionel Ritchie, Johnny Mathis, to name a few. They had talent. But since I don't like rap, I must be a racist.

  • Invinciblez18 : Oh my. I offened you. Tsk, tsk. Tell me, did you enter kindergarten or pre-K after 1980? I can often tell just by your comments.

  • I have the sountrack but I think you can get it from itune. I love love this movie...it's my favourite old time movie. :)

  • @heilalan the whole movie was great but the ending part with this music was epic!! and the girl that jumps off the cliff looks kinda like a girl i use to like :/

  • Does anyone know where to purchase this song? The whole (8:12) song not the shorter version which is a little over 5 minutes long.

  • @itsthehills Type "listento" in front of "youtube" in the address bar and you will be redirected to download it

  • The music is awesome for studying!

  • Thank you so much for uploading this :)

The soundtrack just doesn't quite get it right, ya know?

  • Just finished the most epic chem homework ever

  • There is a difference, if you listen closely to this version, when he is fighting on the cliff edge and loses, the organ sound/horn drags on longer than the soundtrack version. It's hard to explain with little knowledge with instruments, but if you listen closely it's there, because this is the version I've been looking after, ever since I saw the film itself.

    Thank you for the upload.

  • Prayer to the Spirit World for Dennis Banks....the man who helped Elders keep Traditional Ways...defending them....Great Mystery.... you who can read hearts...you who are older than all prayer...lean to hear a feeble voice....bring healing to this great man of Spirit....

  • @finishstrongdoc I can not say with such certainty what you saying but I find you words facinating . "Hugs"

  • @Oopechka1 Dennis Banks is currently experiencing a health crisis; he portrayed Chinachgook in the movie, and was at Wounded Knee, Pine Ridge Rez, S Dak during the take-over protest by AIM ( American Indian Movement ) in the 60's. All prayers for return to health of Dennis Banks.

  • Thank you for the awesome upload. I hate that they cut this song so short on the CD.

  • WHO AM I??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What idiot disliked this???

  • definitely gets the blood pumping. Such a powerful soundtrack to equal that of any. I play this at the start of every day, and on the way to work. Makes the day so much easier to handle. Fucken brilliant eh!

  • Actually this song is a bit different.

  • This song is soo perfect that it actually hurts :'(

  • derp

  • Randy Edelman one of the composer has Dutch roots. His name "Edelman" means noble man.

  • every note, every sound, every beat, every instrument, every second is perfect in this song; 8 minutes and 12 seconds of pure happiness! Nothing more to say.

  • I don't know. Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I actually like this song better than rap music; if you can call rap, music.

  • @StephenB58 your not the only one ^_^

  • @StephenB58 you can call rap "music"? i wasnt aware..

  • @StephenB58 me too. guess we suffer from the same illness. greetings :-)

  • @StephenB58 I enjoy this song and I enjoy rap music as well, no need to insult an entire music genre.

  • @StephenB58 because it has some of the best soundtrack ever.... it is just captivating music along with the movie!

  • @StephenB58 Nothing wrong. You simply have something most people lack nowadays. Taste.

  • @StephenB58 I used to like rap until I discovered real music that actually has meaning on a spiritual level rather than an entire tune about how badass some one is or how many murders they have committed. Rap is only an unfortunate noise to me now for the most part.

  • @StephenB58 Please don't be so condescending and smug. I for one love rap music and love this song as well.

  • @StephenB58 morons like you actually get on my nerves seriously, as do the morons that thumbed up your comment

  • @StephenB58 Well, Can't spell CRAP with out RAP

I agree. I am listening to this constantly! But you couldn't catch me listening to rap if my life depended on it.

  • @StephenB58 You have not listened to Macklemore then. Check out his song "Wings"

  • @StephenB58

how does it feel to be so ignorant? :)

  • @yak00zy How is he ignorant?

  • can we please end the 'this song is scottish/this song is irish' argument. its celtic. problem?

  • @Yakko77 Do you mean 'Now We Are Free' from Gladiator? Because I love that one.

  • imy place mohicni

  • Great sound :) why is the track cut on the soundtrack?!?

  • A nice Celtic sounding vibe for a soundtrack to a masterful movie.

  • EPIC!!! Kinda reminds me of Red steel 2 a bit......is that weird?

  • Who cares where the song is realy from? The end of this movie is one of the best ever, the song fits so perfect. Its one of those movie moments that realy gets a hold of the people seeing it...

  • I dont know why this tune is on some damn injun movie,it comes from my country of ireland!

  • @ReaperWithFangs

According to Wikipedia: The main theme of the movie is taken from the tune The Gael by Scottish singer-songwriter Dougie MacLean.

  • @KaiserTeufel LoL,whatever Mr. Google Commader...Go google homo and read about yourself.

  • @ReaperWithFangs

Not my fault you went on about your country of Ireland and it's really a SCOTTISH song. You seemed confused, just helping you out. They don't teach world geography over here in America. Is Ireland a Scottish province?

  • @KaiserTeufel Nope sorry, its irish fuckface. You DO know that Wikipeda is NOT a real online encyclopedia, its a place where people write in what THEY think a subject is.

  • @ReaperWithFangs scottish m8

  • Hans Zimmer wishes he wrote this one!

  • Can anyone else hear soft mouth noises at the beginning of the song before the music starts?

  • the music is so good that my feet started dancing/tapping on their own

  • lol i wiped out the huron on empire total war XD

  • @wigster600 lol i saw this movie on tv the other day and i got the urge to play empire total war more.. battling it out in the americas

  • Where is possible to get this mp3 file???

  • @Agaronov it is possible to get this by buying it ;-)

  • @sangen48 Should be on Amazon

  • @Agaronov Should be on Amazon

  • awwwww uncas dies and ... and he dies for Alice. Then she dies because she loves him and doesn't want to be with magua. and then the cool ass native dad gets his revenge!

  • One of the best scores ever.

  • Thanks for posting this up. I always loved the more quiet part of the song (during Alice's scene), and I was disappointed that it wasn't on the soundtrack.

  • Thanks for uploading this!

  • i love

  • i like

  • Just heard this as a background to a video and knew exactly what it was.. even though I hadn't heard it in 15 years. Says something about the peice. Getting the movie tonight.

  • This music strikes a real cord deep down. I think it was perfectly done with the movie. However, it makes me think of how things were back then and how far we have come as people. It's good and bad! When you can't quite put your finger on how music makes you feel then it's good music to me. I run and work out to this music and I can listen to it over and over again.

  • song and the movie are epic pieces.

  • I was so fucking pump when Uncas rushed up the cliff and this song started playing.Awesome soundtrack for an awesome film.

  • The music in this film is one of the greatest soundtracks of all time. It ranks up there with Star Wars, Gladiator, and a select few where the music is practically a character in the movie. So much emotion and personality to this music, it's flawless.

  • @Yakko77 I was about to type something very similar to this but you beat me too it :P The Mission, and Indiana Johns, and 'City of Angels' are also films with awesome soundtracks, but Gladiator and this films ones have to be my favourite :)

  • @Yakko77 don't forget braveheart!!

  • @Yakko77 This song speak to my heart in such ways I can not explaine , You words are so perfect to read . This song make me think of long lost romance from long before our Fathers , It haunt me and soothe my soul same time . It also sad and make me cry for reason I am not sure .It make me think back to many things in my home Country. This song is Alive inside of my heart .

  • جميل جميل اطلف فيلم واحسسسسسن قصه.....RSHASH_}}ALAMOUDI

  • What's the difference between this track and the one from the movie?

  • @Zero15555 There's no difference with the movie. The difference is with the soundtrack, where the track lasts about 3 min and cuts just before Uncas goes to rescue Alice on the cliff.

  • @shaida01 Okay thanks

  • @shaida01 Yes you're right, this version is longer that the one from soundtrack, but i think that in the soundtrack the main melody is played on violin, and this version is playd on guitar.

  • @shaida01 i m looking for the song when uncas run with his father and the third man(i don t remember his name now) in the mountains to go to the hurons village to save the womans,i thing is a woman singer

  • @jackalfirst The name of the song is "I will find you", I'm sure it is somewhere on Youtube.

  • @shaida01 Clannad :)

  • @jackalfirst The song is called "I Will Find You" and is performed by the Irish group Clannad. The singer's name is Máire Brennan.

  • @jackalfirst It is "I will Find You" by Clannad and it is only in the theatrical release, the dvds with the editors cut doesnt have that, or a few other parts, which makes me sad, shouldn't the editor's cut have more to it than the final theatrical release?

  • @jackalfirst The song you are looking for is performed by Clannad

  • @shaida01 Also, the film version has a bass (guitar) line played throughout the entire thing unlike the album, which imo adds a lot.

  • @Zero15555 Buy teh sountrack and you will see the difference

  • @Zero15555 None but it's much nicer to hear it without the movie sounds. This version is much better than the one on the CD.

  • mari nissa

  • Mohicans change "o to e", and "h to x".??? Mexicans

  • Mohicans change "o to e", and "h to x".??? = Mexicans-

  • not that i don't like this version, because i do but where can i find the original version? :)

  • Let's get things clear. There are 4 soundtracks to this film. The Last Of The Mohicans CD 1 (1992 version) The Last Of The Mohicans CD 2 (Complete Score Part 1) The Last Of The Mohicans CD 3 (Complete Score Part 2) The Last Of The Mohicans CD 4 (Royal Scottish National Orchestra) This track is taken from the Complete Score(part 2). Anyone want to get these please feel free to pm

  • @ios4ever No worries I found the link for the music. Thanks Again

  • @ios4ever which of the 4 soundtracks is the best??? (in your opinion)?

  • Acho que esse foi o filme mais bonito que já assisti na vida! A música é tão linda quanto!

  • Great Music !

my father used to love this every time he visited me i had to put it on :)

then he would sip his coffee , smoke a sigaret and just dream on ...

i miss you dad , cu when i cu old geezer

  • Essa música é absurdamente linda...!

  • Theme for the Patriot Militia Movement in America.. A very resonant and proper theme for the times ahead. Hopefully we will not lose our beautiful country to marxist socialist Tyrants.

  • This version is amazing. So much power. Simply beautiful.

  • Damn i wish I could download this somewhere. This 8 minute version is my all time favorite version. On the re release soundtrack in 2000 this version is shortened to 5 mins and 30 seconds. The original soundtrack in 1992 was about 6 minutes but it wasn't near as good as this version. I like putting great movie scores on CD so if anyone has any recommendations feel feel to tell me about some others.

  • Gives me goosebumps!

  • When I was young I told my father "this movie is quite boring" he replied "when you come of age, you will understand it." Only when I seen this movie again n my teens did I realize it was a good movie.

Note: I am not saying when I was young, I didn't comprehend it, I was an inattentiveness individual, being n the state of ennui generally often.

Why is it *some* Caucasian pple r fascinated with Native Americans, U can say Hated them while they were living but Love them while they are dead.

  • I love the film version of Promentory!

Maybe someone can send me this version!?!?

  • Can't believe I never saw this film until this week. What a powerful, poignant and sad ending! Music meshed beautifully.

  • the best sountrack ever! one of the best movies ever! daniel day lewis is exellent and in this film...

  • to all those out there who would like this music. ive heard of a software programe where you can transfer youtube videos into mp3 format. this is a lovely piece of music and if you want it search for the software. if you find it and it works its yours!

  • Love the movie love the soundtrack :)

  • Incredibly Powerful

  • awesome i loves this tune!!!!

  • has anybody read the book all the answers are there

  • I never fail to be inspired and uplifted by this soundtrack, great movie as well, unusualy for Hollywood its pretty historicaly accurate as well.....

  • i can almost remember the first time i saw this film i was in absolute tears at the end i love this film!!!!!!

  • its a wonderful song to the last of the mohicans film i love the film and i love the soundtrack its sad and moving at the same time

  • A strong but romantic piece. great music! . like the film too great fight ,s n lots of romance. well done for finding it

  • My God, what a beautiful piece of music. If this does not touch your emotions than you are probably dead. I come here often and listen to it. Thanks for posting it. Since I cannot buy the long version I guess I'll have to download it.

  • @TsugaC I agree.

  • daniel day lewis doesnt play a native american in the movie, so good one

  • he plays hawkeye or nathaniel poe the and i quote "white son" of chingahook the character who at the end of the film declares himself the last of the mohicans. The character played by daniel day lewis is a native americans adoptive white son, if your going to make comments about the movie you really should have actually seen it

  • @flessami he is the last of the mohicans cause the rest of the mohican tribe died fighting the french and opposing indians. and the native son died as well

  • @ThisiswhatIbelieve1 i know...

  • @flessami especially since the film version of nathaniel is very very different from the original book.

  • @flessami dude the last of the mohicans is the one in love with Alice. Chingachgooks natural son. DEERRRPPPP wtf are you except obviously NOT ask jeeves... CHINGACHGOOK declares himself last of the Mohicans because his only son and heir is dead. DEERRRRRPPP. Hawkeye was the hero but not the last of the mohicans. DEEERRRPPP and yes i love it when i read a smartarse comment 8 million miles from the truth. stand corrected in shame, after correcting someone else so mercilessly, and wrongly!derp!

  • @BilboBaghead81 "he plays hawkeye or nathaniel poe the and i quote "white son" of chingahook the character who at the end of the film declares himself the last of the mohicans." this is part of my comment i don't want to get into fight with you but i know chingahook was the last of the mohicans. I was simply rebutting someone who said that Daniel Day lewis was playing a Native American character when he did not. Also thank you for commenting on something i wrote months ago, it's a good song.

  • @braydenmaine

Hawkeye was adopted my Mohicans. His real parents were English colonists.

  • You obviously did not pay attention in the film. He explains early on that his real parents were killed and he was adopted by the older Native American he is with in the film.

  • @flessami (Daniel Day-Lewis), the European-born adopted son of Mohican scout Chingachgook (Russell Means).

  • Don't matter what colour we are were all natives of our planet!

  • can this song and all the other songs on this album(the complete score) somehow be sent to me through e-mail?? i really really need this music badly.

  • vdownloader... ask uncle google...

  • Comment removed

  • thnx 4 posting..

  • It's overwhelming--my hands are shaking and my throat is tight. Thanks so much for posting.

Does anyone have an idea how to obtain this complete score? I found nothing on Amazon or eBay.

  • @UncleBose If you like this, look up the soundtrack for Master and Commander. Or the film for that matter.... and theres a few internet sights devoted to film scores, you might have better luck with your question there.

  • Try asking the one who posted this version?

  • EXCELLENT

  • so powerful music. inspiring. it says fight for your dreams and accomplish all of your goals. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR with health, joy and love. HAPPY HOLIDAYS from Greece.

  • Was my favourite movie until I saw bloody Avatar which just blew me away! Still, Day-Lewis is the best actor of all time!

  • is there any recording from the version played during the scene where Hawkeye and co. are in the fort?

  • I'm not sure, on the officiel soundtrack there is "Fort Battle" and "the kiss", maybe this is what you're looking for?

  • I guess the fort version is some kinda remix made just for the film *shrug*

  • thanks great stuff very powerfull music and movie EXCELLENT

  • I ADORE this film! LOVE every single thing about it....the story...the characters...the actors...the music...the scenery...all wonderful & breathtaking. It's romantic beyond belief! SEE this film & fall in love!

  • this is by far the most romantic fim i have ever seen. almost to the point of absurdty. but that is what film is for i suppose.

  • Michael Mann is a master at using a gripping scene with a powerful soundtrack and little if any dialogue, at a films climax. He did it all the time on Miami Vice in the 1980,s. Jan Hammer,s custom soundtrack pulsed as Crockett and Tubbs dispatched the druggies, and hardly a word spoken. Ditto with the showdown between Pacino and Deniro in 1985,s Heat. He really outdid himself in LOTM. I think it is in my view, the most powerful conclusion ever. By far my all time favorite movie.

  • Actually Heat was released in 1995, not 1985. You're right about Mann being able to do that though.

  • You can't understand this music, get its emotional impact unless you see the connected scenes in the film: the desperate pursuit of the Hurons with their captives by Hawkeye and the Mohicans,, the horrifying deaths of Uncas and Alice, and then, finally, of Magua. It is a "silent" film for almost 8 minutes: action only, no dialogue. John Ford would have approved. Mann is a great director; acting is great too. Greatest ending of a film that I know--even beats the ending of Ford's "The Searchers"

  • @Ethan1956 I totally agree. That scene is one of my all time favorites. I even uploaded it! Check it out on my channel if you'd like :)
