  • Hi and Thanks for posting!

I inherited an M1934 made 1937 Italian army issue from my father.

Can you please tell me what is the best hollow point ammo in terms of grain and brand for this gun?

  • @vilosfull - Thanks for asking, but I honestly have no idea. All I've shot thru this is basic target ammo.

  • I've been looking for one of these for a while now.

  • @FailerVision - keep checking gunsamericaDOTcom, they typically have them available. The ones like mine were made in the 30's, early 40's at the latest.

  • I need one of these

  • @mrdale1903 - sellers on gunsamerica typically have them available. I've only seen one in a gun show in the last maybe 5 years.

  • @mrdale1903 - I just looked on gunsamerica and they don't have any nice looking choices. The best ones (like mine) have a plum colored bluing on them. Mine was made in 1937.

  • In my collection Beretta mod. 34 cal .380 year 1943 , old bat very new , perfect condition . Is model costruted for Military Comand German in Italy. Part number xxxAA ( very rare ). Very good arm.

    Sorry for my english.,

Speack , Italian , French , Spanish , not english.

  • This was the gun used to asassinate Ghandi

  • @SwordsmanMercenary - Who says a .380 caliber is too small???

  • @Republinator I agree, the .32 acp was used to assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand, starting WWI!

  • If you look at it you can see a little resemblence to the Beretta 92S

  • @SwordsmanMercenary - Actually it looks a lot like one when you see the whole thing.

  • But in Breda magazines must be greased (sand/dirt + grease = jam weapon) and Carcano is one of worst bolt action rifle of WW2.

  • @wojo44frompl What was so bad about it?

  • @wojo44frompl I think the japanes rifle was pretty much as bad at it gets. Not to mention their pistol with exposed sear so that it could be fired by knocking on the side of the weapon.

  • This is funny: Italian army from WW2 have a good pistol and smg but not infantry rifle or mg's...

  • @wojo44frompl they was got Rifle Carcano And Breda MG.

  • finally senn mt pistol beeing fired

  • Yes, you beat me to it. Actually, I bought it because I thought it was a 9 because on the slide it says "9 Corto", and I thought "this is the smallest 9 I've ever seen. I realized when I took it home that in Italian, 9 Corto means 9 Short - aka 380. At first I was irritated at myself. I bought it at an auction and it was an impulse buy on a weapon I'd never seen before. But once I realized that I got a great deal on it, all was good...

  • I love the look of those guns, I'd easily buy the 9 or the 380, outstanding.

  • Let me correct myself before you have to, what I meant to say is I'd buy it whether you consider it a 9 or a 380, being as though the 9x17 is .380
