  • perfetto.

  • La meilleure des interprétations.

  • We are from the same city, we knew each other , then he was then a skinny man, strange. We also start with the same teacher Mme Bastard. l met him latter in Canada, and just for asking him the possibility to make an audition he ignored me , a bit too much... l was hoping for a little help since l am much younger .. Well, that's life.

As for his singing l like it, ....

    Francesca

  • Bravissimo!!!

  • Bravo...such a fine artist. Also love his Iago and Scarpia...had a big repetoire

  • hehehe, he send me a letter last week with some autographed pictures!!!! bravo gabriel

  • Is anyone else really distracted by how badly he pretends to play the mandolin?

  • you idiot! shut up

  • In most renditions I've seen, Giovanni does not so much as pretend to play the mandolin, rather he just holds it to denote that the audience show imagine him playing. This is actually a more convincing effort. Watch a number of others and you'll see what I mean.

  • ...?? "tu che hai la bocca dolce più del MERE???? what he says????? MERE, BERE?????

it is MIELE the correct one.....

  • You are right. When I learned this aria I think I sang: "Tu ch'hai la bocca dolce più che il miele"

  • No. "Mele" is written in the score, it is an older italian poetic form.

  • but in italian MELE is the plural form of APPLE....i am italian....i think he was wrong.....

  • @ANDRPLD he was wrong.

  • @ANDRPLD

true, he says più del mele, it's a mispronunciation. But not the end of the world, I guess

  • It's "miele".

  • Bravo! Bravo Bacquier. Perhaps the best serenade I've heard.

  • excellent articulation!

  • best version yet

  • wonderfully done
