We are from the same city, we knew each other , then he was then a skinny man, strange. We also start with the same teacher Mme Bastard. l met him latter in Canada, and just for asking him the possibility to make an audition he ignored me , a bit too much... l was hoping for a little help since l am much younger .. Well, that's life.
As for his singing l like it, ....

In most renditions I've seen, Giovanni does not so much as pretend to play the mandolin, rather he just holds it to denote that the audience show imagine him playing. This is actually a more convincing effort. Watch a number of others and you'll see what I mean.

No. "Mele" is written in the score, it is an older italian poetic form.
