hockey never left chicago, just the fans did...then when they get kane and towes the bandwaggon fans started to show back up. Funny how the chicago cubs can suck every single year but they still draw amazing crowds...but just a few years ago the blackhawks suck and they only draw 7,000 fans. The cubs have never been good and neither have the blackhawks until the past few years, idk why people would go to cubs games and then forget about the hawks, when hockey is 10x more exciting then baseball.

@skew06 haha thats a valid point, but still, unless your from Chicago its hard to completely understand. The owner at the time, Bill Wirtz, made watching hockey so boring. He never spent money on the team at all. He let all the stars go whenever they deserved a raise in salary. At one point he made home games on PPV. Whos going to pay to watch a sucky hockey team on PPV? Yet alone, go to one. Im running out of characters :P so ill put my bit about the cubs in a new post

@skew06 Cubbies are a different story lol. Unfortunately, Im a cubs fan :/ They play on WGN, nationally broadcasted. They have fans over the US. And while they are usually a sub-par team, more often than not they have something else that brings people in. Ex: Sammy Sosa in the 90s. Plus there are times that it seems the Cubs can win it all... we all know how that one goes. Besides, this is the Cubs were talking about. For some reason their fans will always go to their games.

Isn't Chicago going to have major cap problems after this season. I mean they've spent over 55 M, and Toews and Kane are only getting payed 850 K, with their contracts expiring at season's end. The cap is only 56.8 M, and isn't going to go that much higher next season. It might even get lower (don't get me wrong, still love the hawks).
