Fun in Acapulco is perhaps Elvis' finest movie sound track with the awesome stereo sound. Don Robertson's contribution with Elvis like this song is another gem.
Wow this is a different mix or take from the version that's on "Fun in Acapulco". He was in top form during this time. For another great Elvis song check out "It Hurts Me" I'm proud that this is the music of my generation!
I agree these types of ballads are meaningful and tell a beautiful story. Awesomely sung with vocal range changes at just the right time. Starting today is one of my favorites as well.
I really think there should be a new remix put out by someone that can reach the young people so they could hear the truth in his songs coming out. He was such a good singer but how often have you ever heard Love Me Tonight being sung on the radio. I would think of it as a memorial record for all his fans and hopefully new fans.
I hear songs like Jailhouse Rock or Hound Dog being presented over and over as "typical" Elvis songs but they do not present the other gifted singer side.

I am a huge Elvis fan, and was blessed to have seen him in concert when I was 17, nine months before he died. I know almost every Elvis song but have never heard this one before. Very nice.
I know exactly what you mean, or how you feel. I'm 67 come Octocter 13th, so I was 13 the spring and summer of 1956 when Elvis exploded nationally. This is the Elvis that filled my heart then. This is the voice I loved. Love Me is my favorite ballad and Don't Be Cruel my favorite upbeat. Tho I also love the rockabilly he did, Trying To Get To You my favorite, Some people like his voice last few yrs, but it only breaks my heart. There's a quivering weakness that signals all is not well.
Written by Don Robertson. Elvis recorded it May 25, 1963 at RCAs Nashville Studios. It was originally released on the Fun in Acapulco LP. It is now available on The Lost Album and From Nashville to Memphis: The Essential 60s Masters.
This is such a very beautiful, soothing, relaxing and romantic ballad. Elvis will definitely always be the greatest ballad singer. I loved this video a whole lot, 10 Stars as always Jackie.

@bon1042 There is an old saying that to sing the blues, you must have the blues...
He didn't just sing songs like Heartbreak Hotel, he lived them.
