these ribbons were provided to us from the Student org on campus, so not sure where they get them. we definitely didn't buy them. Some even go back to China on vacation and bring them back. China sprout may have some cheaper, thinner ones.

you dont hafto go to china or taiwan .tou can stay here in america and go online to yahoo and look up praise dancers clothing.and the silk is called streammers .i praise dance also.

they are silk and at least inm dance troup has blue and gold and red and mixed they are all from china but can be found in taiwan

cool stuff. can you tell me where the heck you get one of those ribbon dancers? I can't seem to find the one like you have (similar thickness and weight) anywhere online. did you make it? if so, what kind of fabric did you use?

I'm pretty sure those ribbons are made out of silk. Polyester can be used too, but it doesn't create as much of that flow effect. Getting them isn't that easy, since you have to find a tailorshop that makes them. My dance troupe's ribbons are from Taiwan.
