Guys this is just HAM radio. I've talked on 3840 though NOT a regular but enjoy the discussions. OK, sometimes things can get a little out of control but listen! It's not the end of the world and compared to things going on TV, broadcast radio, and our world, this is a walk in the park.

With the numbers of Radio Amateurs dwindling, rather than pointing fingers and judging others, how about hosting a class and adding to our numbers instead of tearing it down..

This was done sometime back. I do not know if the group I am referring to is still on the air there. (Billy, Steve) were the main people. They would break in they would be drunk and use very bad words that begin with C and F and M. They made it impossible for us to talk. They would play Music and if we would change freq they would follow us. They caused many to leave the hobby. I hope this is not what your referring to as "a little out of Control" I didn't mention the constant attacks on Art.

Before they had their falling out, Burbank Jim and Billy the Bill Collector made the quite the duo. Better than any syndicated show I can find on my AM dial, and certainly better than anything you may have done in your earlier days.

Yes stations do talk with him! And they feel if the FCC can't stop WBJ "Worlds Best Jammer" The FCC won't do anything against them. Bill feels and is trying to show everyone the FCC is a joke! And unless they put him in jail will continue to operate even without a license.

i agree there, the current behavior on 3840/3740 is not conducive to good amateur radio practice. I guess some people need to stroke their ego. I remember the days when there used to be intelligent people who used to be on, but the intelligent people got driven off.

Yes each Country as its own amateur licences. In the states a person can look up ARRL on the Web and get information. It is a great hobby!!!!
