I was wondering the same thing when I heard it @ 49 St (Did not hear it @ Times Square since the C/R did a manual announcement and also @ Lexington/59 as well)
I find it interesting how they put BWAY/59ST in there all in 1 line!
It cracks me up wit a bunch of these G.O. rollsigns, theres bout 7 clips of different rollsigns on the R160 M train layup at 25 Av, I think the person is BrightonZach.
The rollsigns are R,B,D,F,Q(wit da East Side-96 St rollsign), J(Nassau St Local/via Atlantic Av/Prospect Park), G(Crosstown/Culver Lcl/Coney Island).
Yea and it says Broadway Local, theres one thing though, y da hell says the other W line, yea it goes to Whitehall, but goin to Queens it can confuse passengers thinking that E mite go to Astoria, but yet again the rollsigns clearly says Jamaica Center. Y doesnt it says "The other R line"?
That can confuse people however there was no confusion along people when they heard it and thankfuly there was nobody in my car that was in need for Astoria.
Lets jus say, any Broadway riders that late nite for Queens Blvd kinda got lucky, meanwhile the 53 St and 8 Av(Jamaica bound) had to be pissed for this.
DAMN!!! U even got the r160 E with the G.O. service btwn Queens Plz-Whitehall St or Canal St, wuteva terminal it was... haha E(Broadway Local), i like it. I didnt know they did testing on the G.O.
Oh Yes I did! I was expecting a R42 to show up however I was surprised in a happy way that I ended up on this!
BTW it was not testing at all as 9252 (The car I had) has been done testing not so long ago and that set has been in passenger service for about less then a few weeks now!
Yea im talkin bout b4 revenue service, of testing on da E. I already know they in service for a while now. O btw, wen usaid dis G.O. happenED on weekends a few years ago, I thought during day time weekends, E is rerouted over the F line.
Why did it honk it's horn a lot? And, you are the luckiest mother f***er I ever known since E trains never went down the Broadway line ever since the first NYC Subway was built in 1904.
There was track workers just outside of 57 St/ 7th Ave.
This is not the 1st time the E went down Broadway. It happens from time to time during the late night hours and at 1 point, even happen on a few weekends about a few years ago. There might even have been a last second diversion (track problems, police investigation, ETC) that may also sent it down Broadway as well!

IDK if they tested the 9200's over Broadway with that sign however I did hear that a 9200 Series set was tested on the R line not too long ago.
There was 1 weekend that did happen where the E's went on the R. I don't recall exactly when however I know it did happen that's for sure.
