This recording may be close to 90 years old but it still sings to me of great times and one of the greatest orchestras of the era, Dajos Bela. I am one of those who thinks Bela was one of geniuses of the age.
great old records - its amazing how much music, fun and fidelity is in those grooves! In some ways they sound better than modern records. (harmonic distortion? valve amplifier cutter?)
Some people told me already that they don`t like this way of cleaning and presenting.. hmm.. I prepared CD`s for friends.. but hope you like the music.. Greetings from Berlin
Electrically recorded in the mid-1920s, I'd say, this novelty number allows solos for most of the band, including the xylophone player. - John Austin, Australia
