Nice solid track! First off, props for using actual music theory and not just using catchy hooks and sounds. I also like that you didn't revert to that flat, braindead song structure that you normally see with synthy electronic music like this. In fact it builds quite nicely, especially how the drum loop isn't completely static and unchanging. Despite being made entirely with electronic instruments, this has a surprisingly human-like quality to it; something i strive for in my music. A+ work(:
@LogicStudioMadness .. SO I SHOULD GET LOGIC PRO INSTEAD OF LOGIC EXPRESS.?? IM BUYING MY AC IN A FEW MINS I NEED A MUSIC PROGRM LOGIC EXPRESS IS GOOD TO START OFF WITH RIGHT
Yes, Logic Pro 9 is the best way to go for more reasons than YouTube will allow me to post. The biggest reason is creativity and comes with 100s of software instruments built in along with over 20,000 plus musical sounds. The software is used by the motion picture industry and the most popular bands in the world. You will think you died and went to heaven after about 3 hours of fooling around with it. It's a writers/producers dream music software. italso tracks video, too!
@ TrayCook20, all the music videos I've posted on my channel were produced on Logic Pro 9 using the internal instruments that come with it. It even comes with some awesome vocal sounds as well. The video above is nothing compared to what Logic Pro 9 can do.
There are only 2 pieces of software to consider in this league and the other one will cost you about ten grand to get a basic setup and another ten to fifteen grand to round out your music software station, instead of five-hundred.
It's just that I have a macbook pro with almost the same config mine is a 2.5ghz and it locks sometimes when I reord voice. and it drives me crazy but it seems that you mostly use more midi stuff right?
Ive started using this at college, the only problem is that when i try to add more than three tracks the CPU just cant hack it. but yeah this tracks cool, nicely put together
Cool track...does anyone know how to create a "build up" in logic? You hear them a lot in house/trance music usually in line with the synth and they peak right as the bass comes back in...sounds similar to say a siren from low to high...any help would be appreciated...thanks!
use your filters man, sounds like you mean a nice sweep...set your resonance to like 1.3 and then start really low on your cut off and then slowly turn it up which gives you that nice sweep you hear on the snares, synths, or whatever on dance tracks.
dude gregg just delete it and find a new new torrent buddy. just look for one that says complete. its around 7 gigs and it must have a serial number. try vuze.
really awesome, good job!

TheCondemnedProphet 1 year ago
@TheCondemnedProphet sure you could. And any other instrument or audio source that you want. Endless possibilities ;)

hey, unlike zebbelineren, I really like those drums, what pack/kit/sample did you do for them?
I don't really think they fit with the rest of the song but I really like the high hats and the snare you used.
Deph11s 1 year ago
@Deph11s hi, thanks for your comment. The drum hits are from Logic Express' Ultrabeat. They are single hits within the kick drum and snare banks.

I'm new to this. You mean all the sounds i'm hearing is created internally? Without any external instruments?
toedster 1 year ago
@toedster Yup, that's right. Logic Express comes with a large number of 'software' or midi instruments. It's great to begin with these.

I have a question, with Logic Express it's possible to have a different sounds of metronome? and to change his volume?... thanx

nice track!! Which built-in keyboard are you talking about?
BeatPerfection 2 years ago
If you press the caps lock key on your keyboard, you'll see this small keyboard that'll allow you to play with the keys on your keyboard.

Sorry but I have to ask. I really really want this, or something similar. How much money? for just like the simple version?
Krondelo 2 years ago
Well since there a new version 9 now, you can get Logic Express 8 on ebay for around £60. Probably cheaper if you look around :)
carinatraberg 2 years ago
Yeah I have it now, and love it! Got a track up as well. Thanks for the response.
Krondelo 2 years ago
$500.00 for Logic Pro 9. You'll get your money's worth. I did.

Logic Express is great, if you are just starting out with music production, you could also begin with garageband that comes with your mac.

I think this song is incomplete. I don't like the drums. They clash with the preset synths. Try making your own synths and drum kits.
statueofdiveo 2 years ago
It's an attempt to mix acoustic and electronic sounds. This way all music doesn't sound the same :)
skyskraberen 2 years ago
I find that the best way to learn a programme is to use presets. But it's a good tip and I will try this out.

I have a Macbook, 2GB RAM, 250 GB harddrive. I don't think you'd need that much to run Logic Express though as it's lighter than the full studio ap.

Hm, I also record audio tracks using external synths and this is fine. Sounds like it may be your laptop and not Logic Express?

so i dont fully understand the description, did you write these riffs on the computer or do they come preset and you just trigger them?
ahsjdkfhrychdk 2 years ago
Most of them are presets that I have added effects to, like delay and reverb. Logic express comes with a great set of presets and drums sounds too.
skyskraberen 2 years ago
pretty diggable. i need to learn how to use this program. i just hacked it muahhaaha
classicalsteve48 2 years ago
If you live near an apple shop, they've usually got free seminars on how to use Logic. If not YouTube is great too ;)

By the sounds of it you need a new computer or just more RAMs in your machine. Logic Express can be hard on the system :)

WOW respect!
did you use any external instruments for recording or did you make all the sounds completely with logic express?
and how long did it take you to get how to do it? because i want to buy this program too but dont know if its too hard for me...
solucerne 3 years ago
Thanks.
All the sounds are within Logic Express, there are fantastic presets and you can use the built in synths.
This took me about 4-5 hours. It's definitely a great application, professional sounds.
