you live in the western suburbs :P that way is soo much worse than eastern suburbs. but still its the few that screw up our travels that have no respect for others on the road... good job! i'll be installing a cam in my car soon. i get so annoyed on driving with idiods who dont care about others saftey nor theirs..
You got me with the second time though, that was an abusive horn but I hope you understand the difference between acceleration and constant speed. I was travelling at a constant speed, not accelerating. It's the job of the reversing driver to give way to everyone. He should have saw me approaching as soon as my car was adjacent to the parked camry and stopped but he continued to reverse.
The first occasion was when a commodore was about to make a right hand turn from a slip lane right in front of me. If you listen closely, you can hear him come to a screeching halt and the front of his car dip down from hard braking. It's called reflexes and I did what I could to WARN him that I was there and to wake up and look at me.
And luckily for the van driver, I'm not someone with road rage, there are much less forgiving people out there on the roads.
Regarding the pedestrians, yes the pedestrians always have right of way. But what's the point of being right when you're dead? The round-a-bout was wide and there was an obvious blind spot for me. I couldn't see them till I turned the corner and had to emergency brake. If I was the pedestrian in that case, I wouldn't dilly daddle around on a 60km/h road.
You are quite right that the speed limit is only a maximum and not a mandatory speed. However, there's also a thing called driving to the conditions. Do you really think it's safe for a car to be travelling at 40km/h (yes, that was how much I had to slow down by) while everyone else is doing 80km/h? It's just causing unnecessary congestion on the roads when there's no need for it.
Firstly regarding the white van, that road is an 80km/h zone and you should see he had plenty of space to accelerate and speed up to the speed limit. I would love to know how you were able to detect what speed limit I was doing without being able to see the speedo? As you can see the car to my right was doing a higher speed than me and I was already doing about 70km/h.

the horn is installed for the reason of warning other drivers of danger, on 2 occasions you tooted your horn after the fact which is completely pointless. the driver backing out of the driveway blindly was seen by you well ahead of time and if you were travelling at a lesser speed you would have been able to stop and avoid a collision, however instead you maintained your acceleration and swerved into the oncoming lane and tooted the horn after you had passed.
secondly i'd like to add that if more people adopted the attitude of the white van driver i believe the roads would be much safer and less need for speed cameras. travelling at that speed does not detain one from reaching destination due to constant stops at traffic lights in Melbourne ( he will likely stop at the lights same time as you). finally i'd like to say that pedestrians are always right no matter what so pull your head in "youre the one in the killing machine"
i'm very serious with this comment--you made a critisism on the white van for merging ahead of you and travelling slow, I happen to be in favor of the van driver,it is not manditory to do the speed limmit, i believe he is well within his rights to be travelling at that speed and note that he gave plenty of room, most people demonstrate a different mentality by predominately travelling 3k's over the speed limmit because thats what they can get away with. its a speed limmit not a speed requirement

There must be a new law I haven't heard of yet; you MUST give way to people backing out of car parks and driveways...everyone is doing it.
