when alex helped that womam in the hotel, one of the memories was about letting a important jewel being droped on the lake and the water being too icy to get it back. maybe thats what happened to alex with his brother, i dont know

Just one thing I noticed: On the clipboard, at 28:32-ish, the quote attributed to "AS" is more or less the same as one in the Bible! 2 Corinthians 6:14. "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. As for the placement of the swarm bugs, I remember a dev commentary talking about their inclusion in SH 2 as not being particularily symbolic of the main character's plight, but more as a reminder that all of this is the doing of the SH dark god, because they're enemies derived from SH1.

It's like some sort of L96 with some sort of deformed stock that does not look even remotely comfortable, some ridiculously large box magazine, and to add to the horribly uncomfortable looking stock, the trigger guard is definitely not helping, and judging by the position of the rear sight, it doesn't seem to be bolt-action, but if it is indeed more powerful than the M14, then it'd be hell on your shoulders

I don't think it's too extreme to find Alex somewhat of a sympathetic character. The way his family treated him taps into the psychological fear of being disowned or alone, the atmosphere in the house accentuated that. Then again, I think that's giving Double Helix a bit too much credit, with the horribly lazy writing in mind. The best part of the game is the music.

Thank you for the Let's Play, I don't think I've ever seen a more thorough or ''lovingly'' made walkthrough of a game. Kudos!

At least Homecoming attempted something original with Shepherd's Glen and the sacrifices, as opposed to, well. . . more Alessa.

Excellent analysis and research over these 14 parts. Superb argument vs. the visual effects artist as well, this game is clearly a rushed amalgamation of almost every past SH game, with an emphasis on SH 2, completely the opposite of what is claimed.

As to Alex taking Josh out on the lake - I'm pretty sure he just wanted to try and scare him or try to exert some control. Josh was always the favorite and Alex resented it, so he reaches out for any way he can get some power over Josh.
