If you need to know about train prices or anything let me know. We have had a few friends visit us from america now for the past few years and kind of now the ins and outs of it all .. :)
Hi just found your video. I live in Ireland and I can tell you that you should defiantly travel around to different countys.. Some of my videos are of when my aunt came to visit us from Florida and show you some of the castles and stuff near where I live . I also go to visit family in Mayo which is in the west of Ireland and there are a few vlogs from up there too ... I would not advise you to drive over here .. It would be to confusing ..
Good deal because- weather that time of year ispretty cold-esp. for people from Florida. I would suggest summer for better weather-----and since you want to do soo much --hook up with a tour. They take care of everything -hotels and transportation.
LOL, JUST READ YOU ARE GOING IN SPRING BREAK. K WELL THATS A LITTLE BETTER WEATHER, BUT STILL VERY COLD AND DAMP AND RAINY, EVEN AT NIGHTS IN THE SIMMER IN THE SOUTH OF IRELAND THEY USUALLY LIGHT THE FIRE AT NIGHT. :P
AND REMEMBER ALWAYS TO LOCK YOUR RENTAL CAR, AND TO NEVER LET YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS IE HANDBAG PASSPORT ETC, OUT OF YOUR SITE. B AND BS CAN COST AN ARM AND A LEG, A HOTEL LIKE PREMIER INN, HOLIDAY INN IS A LOT CHAPER AND BETTER, AND YOU ARE NOT IN SOMEONE ELSES HOUSE AND CAN EAT MESSY AND DO WHATEVER LOL. PM ME IF YOU NEED ANY OTHER ADVICE OR HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ETC. :)
DON'T THINK YOU HAVE TO TRAVEL ALL OVER IRELAND TO SEE ITS BEAUTY, BUT IF THEIR ARE PARTICUALR PLACES YOU WISH TO SEE, THEN YES I SUPPOSE YOU WOULD HAVE TO TRAVEL. AGAIN YOU WILL MISS OUT ON THE TRUE BEAUTY OF IRELAND IF YOU GO THIS TIME OF YEAR, YOU WILL WONDER WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT IRELAND BEING SO BEAUTIFUL, GOING THIS TIME OF YEAR IS LIKE GOING TO SEA WORLD IN THE WINTER IF SEA WORLD WAS IN CANADA. FEEL FREE TO SEND ME A PM ON MY CHANNEL. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ETC. :)
BRING YOUR CAMERA BAG WITH YOU EVERYWHERE AS IT CAN RAIN OUT OF NOWHERE. ALSO, ALWAYS KEEP YOUR ITEMS IE HANDBAG MONEY CAMERA , PASSPORT ETC, ON YOUR PERSON AT ALL TIMES, THEFT IN IRELAND IS RAMPID. ASK PUB OWNERS WHEN THERE WILL BE A SESSION OF MUSIC ON, USUALLY THESE ARE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS, AND DON'T BE SURPRISED COME SUNDAY WHEN ALL TOWNS, CITY CENTRES ETC, BECOME GHOST TOWNS. DON'T MENTION RELIGION AT ALL, IF ASKED ITS BEST TO SAY BUDDHIST OR NEW AGE PAGAN LOL :P
YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SWEEPT OUT TO SEA LOL. PEOPLE ARE MORE VOCAL IN IRELAND, AND SWEAR A LOT MORE TOO, YOU MAY ENCOUNTER SOME DRUNK AND DISORDERLY PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY IN CITY AND TOWN CENTRES, JUST KEEP WALKING, DON'T MAKE EYE CONTACT. ALL OF IRELAND IS BEAUTIFUL, SO YOU COULD GO TO WATERFORD, MAKE IT YOUR BASE AND SEE THE WATERFORD COASTLINE, LISMORE, WATERFORD CITY, AND ITS A 3HR DRIVE TO DUBLIN FROM WATERFORD, AND YOU CAN BE IN BELFAST IN A DAY. CANDY SELECTION IS WAY BETTER. REMEMBER TO
IF YOU ARE WANTING A GUINESS, REMEMBER THAT IT TAKES ABOUT 6 MINUTES TO POUR JUST ONE, AND THAT IN BUSY SHOPPING CENTRES LIKE DUBLIN ETC, THEY CHARGE A LOT MORE THAN A PUB IN A SMALL TOWN, LIKE 6 DOLLARS INSTEAD OF 4. SHANNON AIRPORT IS LESS CONGESTED, AND AGAIN A GUIDED TOUR MIGHT BE BEST FOR YOUR FIRST TRIP, MAKES LIFE EASIER THAN HAVING TO CATCH TRAINS AND BUSSES ETC, BE PREPARED FOR RAIN AT ANYTIME, IT COMES AND GOES THROUGHOUT THE DAY, ALSO REMEBER ABOUT THE TIDE, YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SWEE
HIGHLIGHTING NOT YELLING! GO IN THE SUMMER! MID JULY TO MID OCTOBER, BEST WEATHER. YOU DEFINITELY WON'T ENJOY IT AS MUCH THIS TIME F YEAR.IF YOU ARE HIRING A CAR, REMEMBER THAT DOGS RUN AROUND FREELY, AS DO OTHER ANIMALS ETC, I'D GO ON A TOUR, CAUSE THE ROADS ARE NARROW AND IT WOULD TAKE YOU A YEAR TO GET USED TO IT ANYWAY. ALMOST ANYWHERE YOU GO IN IRELAND YOU WILL SEE AN OLD CASTLE, IF YOU WANT TO SEE A GREAT CASTLE, LISMORE CASTLE IN COUNTY WATERFORD IS THE BEST. JUST GOOGLE IT, YOU WILL SEE
from a former Cork person now living in Canada, be prepared for a temperature difference and dampness. The air over here in quite dry, its going to feel like late fall here for you in Ireland during spring. Check out b&b's in each town you want to visit, it'll be much cheaper than staying in a hotel every night
Ireland is awesome and buy a air plane ticket and stay in hostels and just rent a car and rive all around and that pic on the back for the book is the cliffs of moher and it is AMAZING.
omg you're coming to ireland?? come visit me! :P im sure you'll have lots of fun while you're here, we're a friendly bunch :) Be prepared for cold weather and lots of rain though! x
if you're gonna go to ireland, i would go to cork! its like the new york city or ireland! there's so much to do! its amazing(: & if you want country, you could go to carey.
Definitely fly into Dublin, and everyplace is pretty much accessible from there, its a great base. Ireland is only little so the furthest journey to the extreme end is 4 hours:)oh and that place is the Cliffs of Moher in Co.Clare.The train service is pretty good round here, and also the Luas and Dart will bring you all round dublin:)i don't think there's much need for a car! There's plenty to do around Dublin anyway:)Make sure to drop in to Longford and say hello, where I'm from. you'l have a ball!
@erinseashore1996 thank you SO much for the advice!!!! :) I am definitely hitting up the Cliffs of Moher!! :) also, Giants Caueway. Ireland is SO beautiful!
I don't know where Longford is, but we should definitely have a pint! see? I'm already picking up the lingo! haha
i live in ireland! i would say fly into dublin and spend a night or two there.then u can travel by bus or train to other parts or the country and stay in hotels or hostels ! hostels are cheaper and most are clean and safe! do not just spend the whole week in dublin because theres so much to see out side of dublin! and the place on the back of your book is in county clare and is called cliffs of moher. hope this helped!!
I live in Ireland :) If you fly into Dublin its really easy to travel around the rest of Ireland on the train and its pretty cheap - its quick also :D hope you have a good time!
Are there people who actually watch vlogs like this? You have about 500 video's, 3 minutes per video. That's 1500 minutes. Imagine how much fat you could've lost if you did some excercise in stead of making useless crap videos like this.
@NickBolland thank you SO much for taking time out of your busy (...I'm sure) day to tell me this. I really appreciate your proclivity towards math! astounding!
Blarney is my favourite, the bistro---have the stew!!!!! I could have stayed put there for the whole 3 week travelling holiday! Also, Limerick is nice.
...and it would probably just be a waste of time and money to keep having to travel hours back to a central location every day, you know? Plus, you never know which places you'll end up loving and wanting to explore more or stay in longer - without a strict itinerary or place you have to be because you paid for it in advance, that's a lot easier to accommodate (and I'm sure you'll find a lot of places like that that you love! I've heard Galway is absolutely wonderful). :) I hope this helps! <3
Hey Christine! I haven't been to Ireland (yet! - I am Irish, though, not that that helps anything, haha ;P), but I have friends who travel constantly, and from their experience, I would definitely recommend just booking a hotel for the first night (if at all before you get there), and then playing it by ear from there. Dublin is a big city with tons to do, but if you want to see more scenic/rural/historical places, you'll be doing a lot of traveling (which the train is great for!)...
Dublin is amazing (i should know i live there) but if you really want to experiance ireland i would visit dublin or 2 or 3 days, visit cork for 2 days, and go to different countrys, if you want to see the cliffs on the back of your book, you need to go to clare :) take a train to northern ireland form dublin. VERY scenic and awesome:) Also, us irish like it when americans say ireland properly, pronounced "ARE LAND" :) <3
@ImpossibleEquestrian good tip! :) i want them to love me, so i need to study the ways things are done in ireland....dont want to give american's a bad rep! (even though they already have one i suppose).
I am so jealous!! I've wanted to go to Ireland for so long! I'm hoping to go next November after I graduate from university!! Unfortunately, I have no advice for you, as I have never travelled!
im going there at the end of march. im starting in Dublin, then going to waterford, ring of kerry ect..

I wouldn't recommend staying in Dublin the whole week. I would recommend Cork, Kerry. Don't spend too much time in one place :)

i went there last year with my school, all we really did was go to the outskirts of dublin. but it was still AMAZING!
