  • The Colonel reminds me of my Dad. Same hair, same mustache. And also just like the Colonel and the Ludlows, we're all sons and brothers in the family. Great movie!

  • This movie is about remembering when America still stood for individualism.

  • This was one of the most beautiful films ever made. I would add to their father's statement that the boys went off to defend an England not worth defending. England persecuted and destroyed so many nations that it deserved and deserves anything that it gets.

  • love this movie, makes me cry everytime i watch it, but its so good - Mr. Pitt at his very best - my opinion...

  • The cabin in in canal flats brittish Columbia on a working ranch called "J2" ranch. A friend of mines dad owns it

  • @baggedgloria Thanks for taking the time to write!

  • "I'll bring you back the Kaiser's helmet."

"Bring yourself back - it would please me more."

  • @Polica40 because she was a madd'n

  • what's the name of the music starting at 2:19?? thanks.........

  • I was hanging out in the log cabin from this movie on the weekend!

  • @baggedgloria I love the film location and wondered if the "cabin" was for real! Where is it? Is it a dude ranch for daily rental? I'd appreciate the info!

  • @baggedgloria Where is the cabin/ranch? Can it be rented?

  • @ffbassoon Where is the cabin in the film? Is it a hotel now? Would love to visit it, if you have info. Thanks.

  • That was a damn great movie!

Too bad it lost against Pulp Fictionin the oscars!!!

Beautiful love stories and beautiful music!

  • Wow did it really? That's a hell of a good match up, tough one.

  • This movie should have won by far!

  • I m very curious about 4 season s why are they bad?

  • two great films by edward zwick, this and Glory, niether nominated for best picture, what does the guy have to do.

  • one of great movie that ever i watched nearly 1000 times .

  • Brad Pitt..."sigh" and Anthony Hopkins - 2 of Hollywood's best actors!! I gotta see this!!

  • Goddamn him Samuel.

  • One of his better movies in my opinion.

Ladies, you can see a compilation of romantic scenes from Benjamin Button on my page above, enjoy.

  • One of the most terrific performance from Anthony Hopkins. Just too great, just see the movie.

  • can anyone tell me wats the story all about?plsssssssssss!!! i love brad pitt so much..

  • The movie is about the Ludlow family during the early to mid 1900's. The father (portrayed by Hopkins) is a former soldier who has seen the worst in war and doesn't wish to see any of his 3 sons go. They all do.

It's about love, war and family bonds. Epic, dramatic and one of the most memorable movies in the past 30 or so years in my opinion.

It won't change your life, but it's one of the better films from Hollywood.

  • I agree. Thank you for the summary.

  • I want to married Tristan=)

  • My fantasy is to be one of Brad Pitts hairs! Preferably a nut-sack hair, so I could be so close to his balls.

    sigh!

  • you might be shaved right off haha

  • This movie means so much to me. We are also 3 brothers, and I totally relate to the father thing, even now when I'm 30.

I love this movie so much, and James Horner's score is one of the finest ever.

Anthony Hopkins is just more than words can describe.

  • My absolutly favourite movie.

  • the music is so beautiful...

  • Yes, the score is so powerful, mesmerizing and epic. I own hundreds of sound scores, and this score seems to still be the winner in my opinion.

    Absolutely gorgeous.

James Horner has composed one of the finest scores for the movie.

  • Still one of the best movies.

Tristan is the definition of a real man. And there are not many real men on earth...

  • you are GAY

but yeah it is a GREAT movie

  • "All wariors hope a good death will find them, Tristan went looking for his." This movie literally made me water up, especially the part when Tristan comes back home after his "world tour"..lol...and see's his dad in bad shape after having a stroke, and his dad write down "Am happy" (cause he can't talk)...damn i just got a jolt while typing this, The father - son scenes always get to me

  • u r right man ..that scene got me .. i actaully cried !!

  • I found the WW1 scene at Ypres in the battle very hard to watch as it was very disturbing - as powerful almost as Saving Private Ryan...

  • damn, the chick in this movie really got around. i bet she even fucked the old man just for shits and giggles.

  • haha yeah. I'm SO glad Tristan married Isabelle2 instead. She really loved him all her life & wasn't just lusting after him like whatshername.

  • True ! They did not put that sceene in the movie , it was to explicit! After he had done her doggy style she forgot to close the window. The old man got sick over nigh because of the breeze and some nerves and shit were affected!

  • Of all the movies I can think of in the past 30 years, this is one that stands out.

  • Ash chr as Tristan i understand you. but....you need to seek more. hugs.

  • 30 years?? I can think of about 60 more

  • Last German Survivor of WW1 died

recently, alls quiet on the western front

  • Aidan Quinn has an autistic daughter. You'll notice in this movie, as well as in his other movies, that Quinn has a drawl sometimes, a slowness to his speech, which makes me think that autism is genetic.

  • Speaking slowly is a quality makes people more captivated of who you are!

  • RIP Heathcliff ledger, another Legend of the Fall

  • The War to End all Wars

That statement should did not materalize

the 20th Century was one bloody Century

I hope the 21st is more peaceful

    Barack Obama 2008

  • omg if I had to choose between these three sons... I would choose the father ;)

  • Me too! :-)))

  • yes!!! o:)

  • oops... why does it not work? I wanted to reply... Never mind, I can say it again in whole sentence: "if I had to choose between these three sons... I would choose the father ;)"

  • Everythings working fine. Thanks for commenting on this great movie.

  • Thanks very much for your comment. I love all these actors.

  • I'm sorry, it seems that I had some trobles with replaying at the first time because it looked like new comment firstly. But when I opened this page later, everything was put where it should be. Sometimes, the computers do what they want, don't they :D?

  • I'd choose Alfred

  • the music is so beautiful...and so is the movie

  • I've seen this so many times and I still cry like a sissy-girl. lol

  • me too, every time.

  • I love the fact that there are so many clips and so many comments about this film. It deserves to be appreciated.

  • i agree. thanks for yours

  • James Horner is the best movie composer...

  • This one is spectacular. I will look him up to see what else he has done.

  • Braveheart

  • Listening to Anthony's voice is just so mesmorizing.

I love this movie so much, we are also 3 brothers, and I can relate so much to the whole father dilemma.

Amazingly beautiful movie and touching score by James Horner. I love this one so much!!

  • Brad Pitt would make a good brother-at-arms. Bros@arms are always for one another. Great war scenes, unforgettable movie.

  • definately one of the best movies of all time.

  • agreed

  • It is a film that takes me too a place thatonly I am prepared too travel on my own, one of my favourite films a film that few understand, a film that my partner doesnt quite understand, a film that should be played everyday, a film if the truth be known is played every other year if not that, not everyone understands loss.

  • well said

  • This movie tears me apart every single time. This scene is SO strong, and Mr. Hopkins is a living legend indeed. His roles as a "Father" is just beyond what I can possible express. In Meet Joe Black ..In shadowlands...I'm speecless
