I have long to hear this ad for years. Every Christmas season, the first person that says Merry Christmas to me and I hear this jingle in my head. Thanks for posting it.

Aww when i think of childhood christmases, THIS is the commercial i think of!! As you can tell on my profile, alot of my "favorites" are clips from growing up in the 80s. That Payless commercial brings back memories:) and quality issues?? Hmm not here, sounded fine to me, thank you VERY much for posting this!! :)

OMG!!!!! Whoever found this, you Just gave me my Christmas gift. I searched high in low for this commercial. This commercial was part of my fam christmas tradition as a kid. lol I never gave up on finding this commercial. WOW!!! thank you, thank you!! A lil emotional. :") Thank you.

Wish I could listen to this but unfortunately it's terribly garbled. Sounds like the equivalent of degrading tape being played on a deck with worn/misaligned heads. Don't know if it's because I'm using Mac OS + Firefox + the TweakTube plugin for Firefox? Any solutions? I've longed to hear this for a long time since as a WA native, it was a part of my formative years in the '80s.

@QuadMochaMatti I'm not using a Mac but perhaps one of the other clip viewers with a better knowledge of these systems can help. Not sure about TweakTube either. The audio is definitely not garbled in the source clip or when I'm playing back - and I've looked at it using both Firefox and Google Chrome; no one else has remarked either about experiencing audio difficulties.

The music was written by Bill Scream and the lyrics co written by Bill and me.

Bill is a local songwriter who also did a lot of work for Will vinton. It would be great to find the full sing :60. I have some short versions on 3/4" video. Don't know if there is a 3/4" machine still running.
