But after listening to this song... this 3 minute song changed my perspective on life. Now... im going to see avenue q live.
This sounds so happy but when you actually listen to it, it's not necessarily a happy ending... It's VERY realistic... WHich is what makes Avenue Q So freaking brilliant. It just flat out teaches you about life!

In the Off-Broadway one, I read that it says Fox News. In the last show, I read that they said THIS SHOW! And Glenn Beck is a radio and television host, author, entrepreneur, and political commentator. He has a radio and TV show, and the TV show airs on Fox News!
when i watched this show on broadway i was laughing my ass of. and when this song came on i was so sad that it ended. especially that ending when princeton gets his little solo. the little jingle made me appreciate everything i have and i think this whole play made me better prepared for my life. i have everything i need here with my dog and my girl.
Saw it in Norfolk, England. Laughed at how instead of "george bush" they said "Jedward" especially since I had the biggest Jedward fan sat next to me :P

I don't think what you're realizing that "except for death and paying taxes" was not invented in this song. It is an age old quote started, as requinox said, by Ben Franklin. If you're going to blame anyone, blame Ben Franklin, one of the smartest men to have ever walked the face of the globe. And the way you attacked Vaxliscious for quoting the particular part of the song was incredlibly childish, as was insulting requinox for pointing out this incredible display of unintelligence.
Is it sad that I was waiting for them to say "everything life is only" and then i wanted trekki monster to break in and be like "for porn!" ? Or did anyone else feel that same disappointment?
@Vaxliscious It really is the worst part of the song. They should see if they could replace it with something else. You should not glorify something like that. My mom has been down ever since my brother died a few months back and I was going to get her to listen to this song to cheer her up, but I realized I could not do that because of that one line.
This could've been dealt with earlier if you had explained that I was "glorifying" it somehow. It's not what I intended.
We've all faced death, but we each have our own ways of dealing with it.
I relate to that line in a different way you do, that's all. You tell me it makes you think of your mother, however I think of someone else. My grandmother. She's losing a son to meningitis and old age. Both are content with the fact that they are about to die, and that makes me feel better.

I think an apology would be more reasonable in this case, see as how you attacked Vaxliscious for simply quoting a line from the song (which in turn is a reference a famous Benjamin Franklin quote).

I constantly sink into depression where I lose all interest in all the things I love. Little things cause me to get upset like my poor excuse for friends, my poor success at socializing, unfair laws in my province... At that awkward time now too where all my friends are 19 and I am still 18 and unable to go downtown haha.

@Vaxliscious It really is the worst part of the song. They should see if they could replace it with something else. You should not glorify something like that. My mom has been down ever since my brother died a few months back and I was going to get her to listen to this song to cheer her up, but I realized I could not do that because of that one line.

This could've been dealt with earlier if you had explained that I was "glorifying" it somehow. It's not what I intended.
We've all faced death, but we each have our own ways of dealing with it.
I relate to that line in a different way you do, that's all. You tell me it makes you think of your mother, however I think of someone else. My grandmother. She's losing a son to meningitis and old age. Both are content with the fact that they are about to die, and that makes me feel better.

I think an apology would be more reasonable in this case, see as how you attacked Vaxliscious for simply quoting a line from the song (which in turn is a reference a famous Benjamin Franklin quote).
The fact that you got so incensed over one sentence (which by the way was completely benign and undirected) and demanded "respect" by swearing at Vaxliscious is ridiculous. Frankly I'm surprised Vaxliscious was even nice enough to reconcile after that unprovoked outburst.

@ginnypotter900 Life isn't easy. My family has been in shambles ever since my brother died back in February. However, I think I do have mental problems that torment me. I constantly sink into depression where I lose all interest in all the things I love. Little things cause me to get upset like my poor excuse for friends, my poor success at socializing, unfair laws in my province... At that awkward time now too where all my friends are 19 and I am still 18 and unable to go downtown haha.

@ginnypotter900 I had been referred to a psychiatrist since mid-July but as of yet I am still waiting to get my appointment. Soon I will have to return to university in town and I will have no time for appointments. I respect you for wanting to be a psychiatrist and helping people. I have thought about doing that one time but realized I would go insane if I had to listen to other peoples torture all of my life. I hope you are successful.

I'm depressed too, and I know how horrible it is to need someone to talk to, but no one cares... to want to let the pain out, to explode at people who don't deserve it.
