  • the 25 dislikes must be from England

  • Maribel and Alden performance's deserved Oscar nominacion.

  • Tetro really hit close to home with the storyline. The character of Benny is me, and I've experienced the things he experiences in the movie. Thank you, Coppola.

  • stunning cinematography, stunning acting , stunning direction, stunning everything.

One of the most beautiful movies that I've ever seen.

vinny galo baby. francis ford baby~

  • he looks like DiCaprio.

  • about to watch this shit!

  • black n white piece of shit

  • This guy looks like Joaquin Phoenix.

  • Yay! Maribel Verdu from Y Tu Mama Tambien! xD

  • Great movie. Streamable at Netflix. Don’t miss it.

  • I just watched it this weekend and loved the mix of music, dance, theatre, and film style. Fabulous. Loved the actors.

  • It's one of those films I've watched that will surely stay with me days, months and years after viewing.

  • Excelente película.... un placer desde todos los ángulos. El uso del color, la narrativa, personajes principales (con roles reales) que se mueven entre actores secundarios muy estereotipados (casi rozando el cliché) dan una fuerza total a la historia de estos "hermanos". Bravo Francis Ford Coppola!!!

  • This moviie is SOO good... it's veryy powerfull and everything is related, it touches so many subjects i really really liked it.. of course, it was filmed in the best country, ARGENTINA which makes it even better. And Tetro reminds me so much of my brother... they have the same type of personality.

  • Just rented Coppola's THE CONVERSATION on DVD and was treated to the trailer to TETRO. The DVD is rigged so that you can't turn the trailer off. You must watch it, or leave the room, before THE CONVERSATION goes on. And what can I say? TETRO looks awful. Arty and insubstantial, filled with 21st century film preoccupations. Maybe I'm wrong, but this movie looks absolutely nauseating, and then watching THE CONVERSATION, it wasn't nearly as good as I'd remembered it as being.

  • @goback3spaces save your energy for the transformers 3

  • 0:33 - 0:41 HAHAHAHA, LAUGHED A LOT!

  • Is good as other coppola movies such as godfather trilogy or dracula?

  • @folladordeprostis As good as any good film he made. In fact I consider this film one of his best.

  • @folladordeprostis BUE ...""FOLLADOR DE PROSTIS" ( NICK TAN PELOTUDO)...NO CREO Q COPPOLA LLEGUE NUNCA AL NIVEL DE EL PADRINO Y APOCALYPSE NOW....PERO ESTA PELI SI ESTA AL NIVEL DE DRACULA....ES BUENA TETRO!!!

  • ovviamente in Italia non si trova...

  • I'm the only girl who loveeeees Vincent?

  • @SugarCitruss

    I'm a guy and I looooove Vincent!

  • Esta película vale la pena?

  • ‎"Tetro stands as proof that Coppola, with an almost stationary camera and nothing more technical than light on film, can still achieve a more stunning visual experience than the 3D CGI of Avatar" (My favourite quote).

That is just the start. Before you even dare to reach into the character interplay this wonderful tragedy reveals. A crafted masterpiece that only a few could draw. I have forgotten all the merit of his past successes. This is his masterpiece. I scorn all who disagree.

  • The best movie ever made. Thank You. Thank You, Thank You one billion time.

  • The cinematography of each frame is like painting, not photography. There's a scene where Tetro's wife (whatever her name is) is lying on her side naked, and the light highlights her outline but it's not even like backlighting, just perfect.

  • Black and white..it fits perfectly with Buenos Aires background....I watched that movie last night and liked it a lot......the movie itself really reminds me of an Argentine one, Francis Ford Copolla acted like an Argentine director even being American...truly a genius indeed....I'm Brazilian and hope that Brazilian directors stop insisting on making favela movies only showing my country's violence, samba and poverty.

  • Rumble Fish update?

  • Alden Ehrenreich: where the hell he found this guy?

  • Make more movies, Coppola! Damn it!

  • What's the song in this trailer?

  • Best movie since quite a while!!! If it does not get the Academy Award, then the Oscars are worthless...

Seeing "Tetro" was a mythical, cathartic experience.

    THANK YOU!!!

  • looks very good........

  • Looks interesting. I'm a big fan of Vincent Gallo, but I lost touch with his artistry for reasons I will not mention here. I now want to see this movie though.... I miss seeing him....

  • @thequeenlives tell the reasons!!

  • When is the release in Mexico?

  • @GERARD0forever I'm gonna watch the movie tomorrow!

  • Top 10

  • the young guy in it is such a cutie

  • beautiful film just put the netflix envelope in the mail

  • Film/Movie Of The Week.

  • Coffee I'm sorry that this movie hasn't met your materialistic needs. I'm sorry that you're complacent and that you use probably 2% of your brain power. Go watch pirates of the caribbean dumb ass...

  • Gallo is so beautiful it hurts my stomach.

  • bloqueamelo,si tienes agalllas,publicista de este anuncio,ladrón robadineros

  • Boring as fuck. Seriously.. boring.

  • @electronicoffee describe whats boring about this movie?

  • @cancerjuly1989 The scripting, the color treatment (B&W is so cliche to use to try and inject 'art-y-ness'), the overly dramatics, the music / score, and the acting is pretty unbelievable also.

  • This looks horrable..the trailer is very badly done in my opinion

  • Francis Ford Coppola's is BACK with a masterpeice!!!

  • Is this movie b/w ?

  • @WRplayer2 Yes, about 99% of it.

  • me acuerdo que leticia brediche y el boludito de mike amigorrena se superpromocionaron como los actores de esta peli...y en el trailer ni figuran.. decuarta!!!

  • TETRO

  • A masterpiece

  • Come on, Netflix! I want to see this!

  • A masterpiece

  • I saw this film opening day in Madrid. I loved it!

  • Why there is not tango in this movie ? no tango in Buenos Aires ? there is not bandoneon on the soundtrack, only accordéon, strange choice.

  • This is a great movie. I saw it in the theater. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

  • dvd? no thanks.

    blu-ray :P

  • Un film bellissimo, magnifico. Oggi il Cinema è Francis Coppola.

  • I dont get it

  • Wonderful movie.

  • I like the flicker flacker scenes

  • I have a great appreciation of film and history of film and this movie should be considered one of the top ten best movies of all time.

  • Im not sure if even The Godfather, or even Apocolipse Now could be considered for the best films ever.

    Please check out Tokyo Story

and look at Leslie Halliwell's top 10 favorite films.

And i have a great appreciation of film and filmic history, and will say, put in your top 10, but dont go and declare that this film as good as it may be, as 1 of the best films ever, probably not taking into account Documentorys.

  • You know> right after I wrote my last comment I thought that saying that it is one of the best films ever is overgeneralizing. I think you are right that it should be suggested to watch(if you like it, cool; if you don't ok then) I just looked up info on Tokyo Story and added to netflix list. Thanks

  • @derekeb1 IT ISENTS THAT GOOD!....BUT FINALLY COPPOLA GIVE US A VERY GOOD FILM SINCE.....DRACULA OR GODFATHER 3????...BESIDES WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL TO ME IS THAT THE MOVIE WAS FILMED IN ARGENTINA( MY COUNTRY)

  • this movie is already in theaters? I did not find about it in movietickets

  • prince vince is so awesome

  • i loved it, so amazinggg.

  • that movie is not even out in germany, and i want to see it so bad!

  • Excellent flick, I can't understand why it's not getting more praise.

  • COOL

  • I thought Tetro was a beautiful film. Made a very profound impact on me....

    Justin

  • Waw!! Quiero verla ya!

  • I loved this film. Very well done. and Alden is soo cute lol

  • this film is getting very good, sometimes excellent reviews from many kind of people, from the Rambo-loving to the Ingmar Bergman fan, so I am very intrigued about it. however, this trailer is awful. I am not sure what to do. anyway...*sigh*

  • Saw it last night. AMAZING. It completely floored me. This is a great film that probably no one will ever see, which is a shame.

  • loved it. this is great film making. wonderful characters, interesting story, beautiful locals, stunning b&w cinematography, surreal dance numbers. . . pretty close to perfect.

  • I want this to come to my city SO BAD.

  • Would also like to mention that while watching Tetro, I became aware of a certain grayness to the flesh tones...a lot of scenes had skin tones too flat and dark. The whole scenes would look good but just the faces seemed flattened by the level they projected at. This was not through the whole film. Two types of metering...one of the light hitting someone, and one of the light reflecting...what to do...anyway, loved it. Gallo has some great scenes at the end. Now get the film in focus, Kabuki!

  • It seems an amazing movie, with amazing actors...I have to wait September in France :(

  • Come to catalonia!

  • This looks like it'll be awesome. Great trailer!

  • Maribel Verdu y Carmen Maura dos actrices españolas geniales dirigidas por Coppola, yo creo que tiene muy buena pinta la pelicula.

  • Buenos Aires, My city, it´s OH so BEAUTIFUL ! :D

  • i wonder if the movie hints at a competitive relationship between coppola and his own daughter

  • @chantoke Just my ignorant comment here, but Coppola's dad was a composer no?

  • i loved it.

  • this film reminds me a lot of coppla's other great work rumble fish.

  • thinkin' the same thing myself

but he's got several other great works :)

  • Anyone here actually a Tetro?

    -Anthony N. Tetro Jr.

  • Susana Giménez is an Argentine actress and important television host.

performed in a special in Tetro

  • @arnoldoreysol I really want to see it despite that old nazi transvestite Gimenez being in it! :)

  • if they moved from italy to argentina to NY, why dont they have accents?

  • I thought the same thing at first. It's kind of wierd they have very strong American accents but they're supposed to be Italian-Argnetine. They should have least threw an English (Italian) sounding accent to make it seem more authentic.

I guess we might have to wait to see the film. Maybe the extras had some lines where we're able to see that.

Actually one of the brothers is from NY going to Argentina to visit his brother.

  • To me, that instantly kills alot of orginality from the film. I rather obscure, unknown actors that have that realness to the background. I mean, in G trilogy, everything was believable. But youre right, we'll have to wait and see.

  • Hahahaha, holy shit! I acted in high school with that kid!

    Love you, Alden.

  • Want to hear something amazing...get Niagara on DVD, with Monroe, then watch it's preview of Don't Bother To Knock on it, and just listen to the music. It will first be broken up by going back to audio..then come back, go away, then go nuts at the end of the preview. It's unbelievable Bernstein like material that's incredible. I ordered Don't Bother To Knock, and am praying that it is really music from the film. Vivid, wonderful stuff, in the zone of Eddie Sauter. A sonic attack!

  • Skin tones here are fairly dark.. Almost like shooting black and white in the old days with a green filter...usually used for men, not women. Te old masters used to take just a touch cold cream and smear it on the facial of women to give them some highlights. Just a tiny touch.

  • It's too bad, I saw this film at Cannes, and it was not good. I'm not a film critic, but I'm very fond of BsAs, and sort of made it my home there.

To aspiring filmmakers-- Argentina is waiting for you, and deserves a lot more than what this film aspires to be.

  • It's more or less a 'vanity' film, that was the word i was looking for.

  • looks good

  • I'm going to be all over this.

  • Man, buenos aires rocks, and I live in crappy Santiago...

  • that is my city ..BUENOS AIRESS ¡¡

  • vicente es un hot tamale.

  • looks fresh. not sure why, but the trailer kinda gives me a Mirrormask vibe.

  • Mirrormask has a great soundtrack...also Angela.

  • Hey Vincent Gallo .. You are a fucking genius!

    Damn it!..

P.D.: Buffalo 66` is in my personal Top Five movies ..

  • He never left, he simply was on a very long and considerably slow-paced vacation for a while. Approximately two years ago he made arguably the most visually optimistic film of his carrier with "Youth Without Youth".

  • Cant wait to see Maribel Verdu!! In an English language film!! Finally she deserves Hollywood stardom!!! Oscar, here you come! Your friend Alberto

  • I hope this is a hit because I'd love to see Vincent Gallo in more movies and in different roles.

  • looks awesome

  • Coppola is alive!

  • It looks like the Man is back ... This trailer has Coppola written all over it !

  • I can not wait to attend the viewing of this film! I smell Oscar!

  • Jesus, this actually looks good. I hope it is. Glad to see Frankie's back.

  • tight! if you live in napa, francis ford coppola had a premiere in a little theatre in st. helena, his gift to napa! awesome! first to see it in america!

  • Buenos Aires is so beautiful...

  • i agree with ya!

  • Coppola is a truly gifted filmmaker, pure in vision and delivery - unlike a lot of the filmmakers of his generation, he still has a personal vision of the world that he wants people to understand. He takes risks that others wont, even if sometimes he is not completely successful in the undertaking of making his films. I'll certainly be waiting in line to see this film.

  • cant wait

  • im so fucking excited to see this!!

  • Vincent Gallo?? I don't know that motherfucker, anyway, this movie looks great

  • No sale amigorena en el trailer???

    Pfffffff

  • Vincent Gallo is a self righteous, self praising, anti-semetic, racist and a full blown lunatic.

Buffalo 66 is still one of my favorite movies.

  • Aguante Argentina

  • thats how most people feel about him

  • I always thought that he complemented himself bit too much, even though he is a very talented actor.

  • HD is great. The "problem" is in your computer monitors (LCD, perhaps?).

  • The black and white seems really unnatural in HD. I don't know if I like it or not. I'm still getting used to HD. I know it doesn't matter how the image gets there, but I find it changes the tone of performances (somehow). Mann's Public Enemies looks like the most modern period piece ever. I dunno. I'm glad a director of Coppola's stature is trying new things and trying to be truer to himself. I just hope it results in a good movie.

  • I know what you mean. The black and white in HD doesn't have any texture or softness to it and the lighting and contrast aren't as deep or varied. There's no question that digital cinema is the future, but film is still the superior choice right now.

  • It looks like a great film
