I've lived in SA and Zimbabwe too and not long moved from Zimbabwe in 2001 which isn't that long but it is really scary...im only 16 now and i remember when we moved back then it was even scary. "springbokk4life" i agree...it is scary to stay in places like that...Always praying for folk back home and hope that bloke Mugabe gets some sense knocked into him or just steps down or something but the situation is ridiculous there...God Bless you all :D

Each time i heard this song i'm feel proud to be an african man. i was born in comoros is the litlle island between madagascar and mozambic and i'm so proud of this country. by the way, this song was originally sang by Zimbabwean/Rhodesian(at that time) mine workers. It was originally sung in isiNdebele, a Nguni language spoken in Zimbabwe, a very close cousin to Zulu. The original lyrics went "Stimela s'phume Rhodesia" It has evolved.
