There are some really intense comments on this page and some massively outlandish judgements. The Toltec path is HARD. It was never meant to be easy and obstacles will constantly been thrown at you. Thats just life. Ive read these books. I practise Toltec shamanism. Seeing life/reality for what it really is can shake you to your core. However if you are truly following the Toltec path then you will already be equiped to live through it. Reach deep!

I feel that anyone who reads any books by these people (Theun, Casteneda) should be warned that the information can end up making your life miserable and pointless. I used to love reading these books but one day after reading i just randomly became extremely depressed and ended up losing my job because of it. It makes you believe that theres so much more to life and that made me happy but it also makes you see just how stupid and pointless everything is if your not prepared to change ur life

one should be able to process and manage the preceived information. if not it could be dangerous. not all ears are there to hear, one needs to use the information to make life flourish with a new possitive outlook. @niloo4niloo how do you know that they haven't just made all this stuff up? A lot of the information seems to be gathered from taking copious amounts of drugs. I have experienced these effects and have seen a glimpse of what is described in the books but all the information can never solidly be proven. I want to believe it but there's just way to many alternatives. To me there just seems to be no real importance of the universe at all as the majority of people seem to just hate life

@P4pJokerBits you are right there is just too many alternatives, I suggest that you read poetry written by RUMI (a 13th century Persian poet) , or listen to Freddy Mercury's "a Winter Tale" or watch/read Alice in Wonderland. LISTEN; WATCH; READ with intent and pleasure what you will apprehend is not that different from the information in these books - IT IS ABOUT YOU BEING GIVEN A CHANCE TO LIVE THIS LIFE AS YOU DECIDE, loving or hating it is all up to the individual

These books were never for the faint hearted...or for those that just want to "enrich" their lives with some "sugar spirituality"...Sorry bro...these stuff is hardcore for the hardcore...It will shake any ones worldview to the core, say "you retard" and slap you in the face and ass and then say"...come on f**uker! I devoured the Castaneda books and tried for years to put them into practice for Don Juan was my hero and I longed to be like him in any way I could. But the Castaneda material did nothing for me except engender longing, daydreaming and also lots of mental masturbation,LOL.

Théun's books  changed all of that for me and I now have very practical tools that I can implement and they have changed my life forever. And I am grateful!!!!!

Théun describes a "lightbringer" is someone who sheds light on our purpose upon the physical plane, someone who sheds light in the dark areas of our lives. Contrast this with "teacher," someone who breeds a sense of dependency by telling you "all the answers"! A true guide will rather guide you into finding your own truth. Yes!
