  • I saw this band in Manchester, back in 1990, on the same bill as Hall & Oates and Fleetwood Mac. They were all brilliant...a great night!

  • I loved this band , and Siobahn mayer is one of the most gorgeous women Ive ever seen , simply stunning she was , and im sure still is.

  • River City People were one of my favourite bands - absolutely loved them. This track is one of my favourites - so sad they didn't hit the big time but made 2 crackin' albums. Met the group in Bradford at HMV where they were playing a few tracks live - really lovely people, they gave me a ticket for their gig that night supporting OMD. Fantastic. Hope they're all doing well x

  • Great band but I think the were overshadowed by a very similar band - Texas. River City people were the better band though.

Ahhhhh... qué suerte haber vivido esa época, no? (por lo menos en la parte musical!)

    Saludos

  • Siobhan Maher = is your twin....... beatiful woman ...... for ever....

  • 1990

  • Thank you so much for posting the lyrics!

The second line of the refrain drove me crazy (sunbathing on the railway)...

  • The lyrics I've just copied are from the album version (I have the CD). The song in the video has a couple sentences removed (the first verse) but it does not change much.

  • @vockla thanks for the lyrics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wonderful song, wonderful LP.

  • very underrated band. she has an awesome voice & this album is truly track for track brilliant.

  • This is a great song. I appreciate your music and the vocals are just awesome! I was very fortunate to hear your music when I needed support and enjoy great music...Thank-you! kearny NJ USA

  • I would like to read the lyrics too. I'm not hungarian (my grandfather was) but I live in Uruguay and many lines are hard to understand, and I couldn't find the lyrics in the web. Thanks a lot.

  • Right from the CD brochure: You say he's leaving, I say he's unsure. The heart you left behind is bleeding and he can't feel no more. He says he loves you, but you can't see it's true. One day you'll wake up, no-one to make you face the truth. I've been walking on ice, sunbathing on the railway. Some day, some night somebody's gonna find me... (continues)

  • ...You say I'm dreaming but I feel wide awake. And he's convinced you don't believe him. Don't people make the strangest of mistakes? He says he loves you, can't you see it's true. I've been walking on ice, sunbathing on the railway. Some day, some night somebody's gonna find me... (continues)

  • ...You say he's unfaithful but I was with him every second. It's clear to me it's you he cares for. You're always first, to no-one second. He says he loves you, can't you see it's true? One day you'll wake up, no-one... no-one to make you face the truth. No! I've been walking on ice, sunbathing on the railway. Some day, some night somebody's gonna find me.

  • wow never herd of these and i like it wooo

  • Would any of the native English listeners be so kind as to share the lyrics of this song in a comment? Some of the lines are hard to understand for a Hungarian for example..:)
